I met with Mr. Jeff Joseph on 8/6/2012 an INS attorney and he charged me a $157 Consultation fee ( a discount if I paid before meeting him) and we discussed a plea I took in 2011. I asked him to help me in the INS consequences of such a plea and Mr. Joseph told me he needed a $1100 initial deposit. Mr Joseph told me if I made the deposit today he would apply the consultation toward my total deposit. So I paid him on the spot and several days later his assistant Mr Broge Large contacted me to met with him and said they cannot assist me in my matters and that I should seek help elsewhere. They also claimed that the criminal lawyer was rude and they have avoided all contact with me.

They have refused to send me a refund or a bill statement and have abused their position of trust. I have been very patient and tried to contact them but to no avail please I ask you put this complaint in for me. Many of us immigrants try to find help and we trust the so called "Super lawyer" of our community to be abused and abandoned. This is so hard on our families that are trying to live a safe life. The Joseph Law firm is a absolute rip and I am a victim of this unfortunate incident. Avoid getting help from this firm, I have contacted The Colorado Supreme Court Attorney Advocacy and Better Business Bureau and even my Chase bank to get any or all monies returned. I had a truly awful experience at this law firm.

I went in for a consultation regarding a marital immigration question.The attorney I met with, Kim, did not know the answer to my question and left the room to get a law book to find the answer, then sat in front of me flipping several pages before finding the statute which she read to me from the book. This did not exactly inspire confidence. I was treated in an academic, cold and clinical manner without empathy or a genuine attempt to understand the nuances of my situation.

I requested to conclude the meeting early and asked if I could be billed for the time I was there rather than a full hour since I was not confident in the legal advice I was receiving and as a result was not comfortable working with her. She told me that she didn't know if that would be possible but would have Jeff Joseph reach me on my cell following our meeting to let me know.

We ended the consultation and I walked back to the receptionist's desk and informed her that I was not happy with my consultation and requested to leave a message myself for Mr Joseph.

The receptionist informed me that if I could wait a minute, I could speak directly with Mr. Joseph and I agreed and sat down on the couch.

Apparently, while I was waiting the attorney I had consulted with spoke with Jeff Joseph because a few minutes later he came out of his office and with me standing right there, told the receptionist "Give this guy a full credit back on his card, don't charge him for the consultation", then turned to me and said "Don't call or contact our firm again for any reason, it's a waste of our time", then turned and walked back into his office and closed his door before I could even respond.

I stood dumbfounded for a moment, then asked the receptionist if I could speak with Mr. Joseph for a moment in private. She told me it would probably be better in light of the situation to just take the refund and leave. Mr. Joseph left his office and walked down the hallway and I said to him that he had a lot of nerve speaking to me that way and how insulting that was.

He walked over to me and with a sh*t eating grin on his face, told me that the other attorney instructed him that I "wasn't happy with the answer I was given and therefore wanted a refund." He then went on to say that they "weren't going to lie on my behalf or falsely represent me in court." I don't know what on earth was communicated to him, but this was not the reason why I requested to terminate the consultation.

Rather than asking me why I was dissatisfied he basically talked at me, repeating that I was "not welcome at their firm", that it was a "waste of their time and money to meet with me", and walked away again.

I seriously cannot imagine receiving worse service. The arrogance and disrespect with which the SENIOR principle of this firm treated me was frankly disturbing.

I felt like I was being brushed off as a "deadbeat client" without the remotest interest in inquiring why I was dissatisfied with the consultation, then referring to me as "him" in front of me... horrible.

I would think the cornerstones of a successful immigration law firm would be based upon communication, empathy and respect. In my experience they failed miserably on all three accounts.

I left insulted, frustrated and angry and am taking the time to write this review as a result of my experience here.

Don't even talk to their attorneys

I met one of Senior Attorney who is Melanie Corrin on Aug 20, 2013. I made appointment at 2pm she was late 10 mins and she spent another 10 mins for filling up unnessary form for "If I will be their client... Her communication was horrible such I did not forget my USCIS document for sure but then she kept saying I missed something. She was wrong!!! Her attitude was like scolding me although I'm the client and pay the money. After I talked to her about my case for 50 mins I knew that I would not hire her as my attorney because I can see that she wasn't trust me and even listened to me. She kept cutting my words and even not trying to communicate with her clients. She was so rude and I do not understand how she became a senior attorney there.
So please do not talk to Melanie Corrin Esp. I have met some other attorneys she is the WORST!

what can I say, guys take my advice: stay a way from this law firm ( jeff joseph) The biggest crooks ever, All they care about is money and they charge way too much and they don't do anything good, they miss advice clients and God is my witness. stay a way take my advice, they are big liars out there. it makes me wonder how he still has his license, I know too many client reported him and his law firm.

Be aware this law firm will double their estimate with your final results. I would not have hired Joseph law firm had I done more research. 5 month after my case was completed. They ask for more money to close their company files. I have never experienced anything like this. PLEASE BEWARE!
