Serving the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque area for over 11 years; Joe’s Pasta House proudly shares with you the traditional Italian/Sicilian American cuisine created with immigration recipes taught to Joe growing up in his grandmother’s kitchen.   Working in the family bakery, Joe also learned the pastry trade from his father; but his heart remained in grandma's kitchen.

After working with many chef's Joe started his first business with Dagwood's Restaurant following with Avanti's Pizzeria & Dakota's Catering.

Using fresh, natural and some local/organic ingredients the chefs create each dish when you order it; so please inform your server of any special requests you may need. From a plate of Spaghetti with meatballs or sausage to Chicken Marsala or a dish of pasta with fresh vegetables like zucchini, basil, garlic and mushrooms; you will find every dish a culinary delight.  We also have a substantial “Steak and Chops” selection - all are hand-cut and natural. Or if you prefer, choose something from our “Seafood Favorites,” which are flown in fresh.

Daily our chefs prepare sauces from scratch and bake our bread fresh for you to enjoy.

After dinner, we offer a variety of desserts from cheesecake with raspberry sauce to a fresh made cannoli  (Papa Joe’s very own recipe) that you can savor with a cup of coffee, a nice port, cappuccino or an espresso.

Together Joe & Kassie Guzzardi team up to serve you with over 50 years combined restaurant & catering experience. It is our great joy & pleasure to serve you.

Absolutely horrible experience at Joes.

I went in for a lunch with my partner, and two children for the lunch buffet.

The "owner" I presume snapped at me and my 3 year old daughter as we walked up to the buffet, because she wasn't taller than the sneeze guard and it was against health code.

Ok. Fair enough. However there is an appropriate way to ask your patrons to abide by health code and his manner and approach was most certainly not the way to do it.

Our waiter overheard his comment and was embarrassed and spent the next hour trying to make up for it. Even bringing our girls a chocolate Sunday at the end of our meal.

We commended his efforts ( I've bartended for 15 years, and my partner manages a bar in albuquerque). We left the server a $13 tip on a $28 bill.

Aside from the rude owner. The pasta sauce was awful. Seriously. Bland and left everything to be desired. I'm not even Italian

( Swedish) and I promise you come any day of the week and I'll make you a better sauce.

At first I was not wild about ...

At first I was not wild about driving into Rio Rancho, but Joe's was recommended to me more than once so I thought I would give it a try. I am glad I took the drive... what a pleasant surprise! We were welcomed at the door by the owner & it was evident through out our meal that he takes great care of his guests just watching him visit tables, including ours, making sure all were happy & enjoying themselves. The surprise though wasn't just that our meals were fresh & delicious but what a value! I had the Chicken Romano with sauteed vegetables (WOW!) and my friends opted for the Southwestern Shrimp Fettuccine & the traditional Lasagna.... the sauces were equally wonderful with portions that left none of us hungry. We even had leftovers for lunch the next day! Being pretty full, we decided to share a dessert finishing our meal with a Cannoli as well as a couple cappuccinos & an espresso. The cannoli was fresh & creamy & the coffees, we found out, are made with fresh ground organic espresso beans! Thank you to Joe, Kassie & their staff for making us feel so welcomed.... you have made regulars out of us!

Fantastic!

The ONLY Italian restaurant to eat at. Great staff and everything on the menu is out of this world! We eat there all the time and if it were up to my boyfriend it would be daily!

Food Worth Going Back For!

OK, I'm not from New York, but from Hawaii and we take our food seriously there. Every dish that I've had there is outstanding. Each one becomes my favorite! I've tried maybe about 30% of what's on the menu and coming from a foodophile (that's me), everything is outstanding. If you are a steak lover, you will not get a better steak anywhere else but here. If you're not into pasta, there are plenty of other things on the menu (such as the chicken or veal piccatta-yummy). Even the salads are incredile. The service is top notch, the prices are so affordable. A lot of the food items are organic. The tomato sauce that he makes is to die for.

On top of the menu and service being outstanding, Joe is an excellent host. And if that weren't enough, I also found out what a great steward of the environment he is. He collects all the glass and takes it to a recycling site since there is no pick up here in Rio Rancho. Now, for a man who works 80-90 hours a week, that's commitment! It speaks volumes about how he cares.

I know of people who drive across town to eat his food. It certainly is worth the trip and worth going back for!
