IM NEW IN VERO AND I LOVE JOANNS! I WAS THERE LOOKING FOR A PATTERN AND MATERIAL TO TRY MY HAND AT MAKING MY GRAND DAUGHTER A DRESS. ALTHOUGH I ENJOYED LOOKING AROUND AND EXCITED THAT I FOUND BOTH ITEMS, IT WAS NOT UNTIL I MADE MY WAY TO THE COUNTER FOR SERVICE, A MAN WHO I BELIEVE HIS NAME WAS DREW, WHO ACTED LIKE IT WAS A DRUDGE TO HELP ME! HE WAS MORE FOCUSED ON CLEANING THE STORE THAN TAKING CARE OF CUSTOMERS. I GUESS I ASKED HIM ONE TOO MANY QUESTIONS, AND HE ANSWERED ME IN A SARCASTIC TONE, "THATS WHAT IT SAYS" REFERRING TO A QUESTION CONCERNING THE PATTERN. YOU HAD TO BE THERE FOR THE FACIAL EXPRESSION AND TONE TO FULLY UNDERSTAND THE WAY THIS EMPLOYEE ACTED. SO AFTER HIS ABRUPT SERVICE AND CUTTING OFF MY CONCERNS FOR FABRIC AMOUNT, HE STILL SHORTED ME FABRIC! I WENT TO ANOTHER EMPLOYEE (YOUNG LADY).SHE TOOK CARE OF ME AND MY CONCERNS AND TREATED ME LIKE SHE CARED AND SAW TO IT THAT I HAD EVERYTHING I NEEDED. I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE APOLOGIZED FOR HIS ABRUPTNESS. THE STORE WAS VERY SLOW AT THAT TIME TO BECAUSE OF THE RAIN. THIS HAPPENED ON THE EVENING OF APRIL 18TH 2015. I WAS A HAIRS WIDTH OF LEAVING EVERYTHING WITH HIM AND LEAVING THE STORE. IF THIS IS HIS EVERYDAY PERSONALITY, HIS ISSUES ARE NOT GOOD FOR JOANNS BUSINESS.

I have found the staff easy to talk to and ask questions. More importantly there is ALWAYS someone at the material cutting table and I like that.

Lots and lots of Fabric. When they first opened they had a full staff. Now it is almost impossible to get assistance. I had one of the sales ladies helping me find things and the manager of the store gave her dirty looks. Also she acted as if she didn't get back to what she was doing she would be fired. Unfortunately I bought two sewing machines from this particular store. Most of the sales people know me because I purchase so much there - if the Manager is on the floor it is a WHOLE different story - the sales people's demeanor changes drastically - like they expect to be belittled, or yelled at - it is so very very sad. I feel so sorry for the people that work there - they try to be helpful and nice but the minute that managers shows up! Well I wish the very best for the people that work there. This store seems to have a help wanted sign on the window every other month. Maybe corporate should take a look.
