My mother stayed at this facility Nov 2014 and they did not take care of her nor did they watch her fluid or food intake before giving her pain med. The worse part is they continued to give her laxatives through the day along with morphine. She become non responsive and dehydrated where she was admitted to the hospital. Once there they discovered she also had a UTI that went untreated.... Maybe a nice facility but I wouldn't send my worse enemy there to stay!!

Stay awqy! Emeritus Corp...

Stay awqy! Emeritus Corporation has no concern for the residents living in its facilitiesl They are only concerned about making a profit. They are masters of "double speak" with such gimmicks as the motto: "Our family Is committed to yours." and a complaint system called "Ethics First," where, if you file a complaint you get a return email saying that the matter has been referred to an unnamed managerial person who never contacts you.

The rank and file employees are terrific and they are worked to exhaustion because there are so few of them.

The managers are also overworked and often must choose between doing what is right and proper and what is expedient.

There is practically no security at CRV and the food quality and service are third rate.

On the positive side: they do have a very full activity schedule and reliable transportation for medical appointments and shopping.

Another web site describes CRV as being "quaint" and Tuscan." That may have been true 30 years ago, but not today.

Moved out about a month ago, o...

Moved out about a month ago, one year was all I could take. Chris Ridge had a smell in the halls (all inside) like a dirty bathroom, I always wondered about the kitchen.

Management was more about fun and games, than anything that mattered, no real staff at the wheel of this ship. Most requests for maintenance were ignored, even when an overflowing toilet on the third floor made it all the way to the first. It took days to get things cleaned, with most of it being done by residents, not by paid staff.

There were many promises before I moved in, they all became lies after a few weeks. Even things in writing, they were changed by new rules.

In the end, most that stay there get used to filth, bad smells and a lower class of life. I moved to Brookdale, pay a little less than before, and have a nice clean place to stay.

AVOID! This is the worst manag...

AVOID! This is the worst managed, dirtiest, worst maintained, poorest security, smelliest facility with the worst food service at any price! The Executive Director and the Regional Director have no clue and zero C.S./ P.R. skills. This facility is under-staffed in all areas. My apt. was filthy when I moved in, it had to be re-cleaned before I could unpack. The hallways, common areas and dining rm are dirty and smell terrible much like a nursing home, the walls and elevator doors need paint touch-up badly. There is 1 PM security guard that’s required to empty trash, no security cameras, there is no grounds patrol. It is common to wait an hour+ to be waited on in the dining room and wait the same to receive your food and the food is not worth waiting for. I’ve lived in 7 different facilities in my life to include assisted living, Chris Ridge Village is overall the worst of all. C.R.V. is the 2nd Emeritus facility I’ve lived in, in my opinion avoid all Emeritus facilities, they will move anyone into their facilities, for example; several months ago C.R.V. knowingly moved someone diagnosed with dementia into an I.L. apt. (with a working stove), as a result this person attempted to cook with Tupperware and burned the kitchen out. Chris Ridge sales and management lied to get me to move into the Independent living area guaranteeing within 45 days an assisted living expansion to incl. my apt., I lived there 9 months, it never happened with lie after lie. You get what you pay for IS NOT the case at Chris Ridge Village.

Chris Ridge needs to listen.

I had my mother here 2 years and they were pretty good. But have they gone down hill, half of the nurse staff doesn't care and are disrespectful toward the elderly patients I would not leave my mother in there any longer. I didn't fell she was safe with the staff. She is now in another care home and coming along very well. I feel I can go home at night knowing she is in safe hands.
