Established in 1960, Jefferson Middle School is a part of the Champaign Community Unit School District. It enrolls more than 700 students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes mathematics, microbiology, chemistry, ecology, geology, and astronomy. It provides various student support programs for the students. It also offers foreign language program in French, German and Spanish. Its student council deals with the problems, issues and concerns of the students. Jefferson Middle School offers a wide range of sport activities, such as soccer, swimming, girls basketball and volleyball and boys basketball. It additionally has a virtual library for the students. It is located in Champaign, Ill.
