Jeff Sharpe is a professional engineer, licensed in over 30 states and provinces, with a wealth of mechanical and structural design experience. He is a model-law engineer with the NCEES, a licensed contractor with the Oregon CCB, and a BPI certified building energy analyst. He is known as one of the few truly experienced green engineers in the area.

Mr. Sharpe's focus over the years has included traditional and alternate energy HVAC, electric power and hot water heat designs; residential and institutional conservation program (ICP) inspections, energy audits and analyses; solar equipment design and installation techniques; as well as the design of, and design-build contracting for, many energy efficient home, commercial, and remodel projects.

Jeff has also become recognized as an expert in the log home and timber frame design communities. He has performed hundreds of log and timber frame structural designs, and has contributed to University research at both OSU and WSU in the area of log wall responses to lateral (seismic) events.

In addition to continuing structural engineering services to his existing clients, Jeff is currently working to develop Sharpe Energy Solutions into a sustainable energy business that might provide employment opportunities for the community, while helping building owners realize long-term financial and health benefits through reduced energy usage and cleaner environments by way of sustainable green building renovations, additions, and construction projects.
