Extremely poor service. What we (my wife and I) were told on the phone/over email regarding our quote for home owners and auto insurance changed once we were in their offices to finalize coverage. They were unable/unwilling to answer questions over the phone or would just not call us back. They screwed up the paperwork for one of our policies (additional separate coverage) and I refused to pay the premium until it was corrected. Well it was never corrected after 4 months and I finally got a letter directly from Erie that the policy was cancelled. Erie's corporate offices refused to let us change agencies, even after requesting/demanding several times (they claim the current agent has to agree to the switch and would not). We finally switch to another insurance company after 6 months of trouble. Avoid this agency at all costs.

This agent is through Erie Insurance. If you are looking to get Erie, I have no bad experiences from Erie in general. As for this agent, please consider another agent. They have very poor service. I have been a customer of theirs for 4 years and only once spoken to Mr. Zelasco himself when he happened to answer the phone (someone must have called in sick that day). Much of the work is delegated to two very clueless subordinates. The communication is terrible. They don't respond to calls or emails promptly. Also, several times in the last few years they supposedly "called me and left a voicemail, or sent me an email" that I never received. If it happens once or twice, ok, I can see it may have been a coincidence or technology lapse. But it has happened at least a half dozen times. Also, they don't do their own research and they continuously change their minds about things. I was told I could be approved for a homeowners policy after repairing some siding. After meeting with contractors do to so, they stated they wanted a copy of the inspection report. After reviewing it, they wanted all details of a very clean inspection report taken care of before writing a policy. It wasted an entire day off meeting with contractors and made their estimates irrelevant. They also requested info on two previous accidental claims on the home and required specific details that I had no way of finding out before they would write a claim. Several agents told me this was preposterous and an independent agent discovered that they claims in question were filed through an Erie office. Had they not been either lazy, or incompetent, (not sure which or both) they could have simply logged onto a computer and discovered the information they were seeking, and a hell of a lot faster than the half of a day I wasted stressing over finding the information they required. Their rates are competitive, but you can do the same somewhere else if you do your research. I am moving to State Farm with identical coverage and better rates. I would have stayed with Erie for their ease of claims process and other customer service benefits had it not been for this office and agent. I encourage anyone searching for insurance to give Erie a try, but please, do yourself a favor and make sure the commission does not go to support this office and agent that has very little concern for you as a customer.
