Contracted JB construction 7-8-14 to build a porch, from date of hire to 8-15-14 which was the last we saw him he did maybe 20hrs of work. He wouldn't show up for days and when he did he would do about 3-4 hrs of work then leave and have an excuse when he did call as to why he hadn't showed last 2 or 3 days. He is not a professional contractor as we found out his lic had been suspended way before he started on our project. He took us for over $7,500.00. So be aware of this guy he comes off as being very professional and as a perfectionist. You should have seen how he left his work site always a mess after he'd leave we would have to pick up tools extension cords, shovels just to get to our back yard. I truly believe the only way this guy stays in business is by stealing peoples money like he did us, I don't believe he had any intentions of finishing this job.

We contracted JB Construction for water damage work on the inside and outside of the shower in our master bathroom. It was supposed to be a 1 1/2 day job, and even with the additional work and set backs, maybe a 3 day job. It took JB Construction 30 days to finish. We were extremely accomodating. We allowed JB Construction to work evenings, sometimes until midnight. Still, he would go a week without working on the shower. Multiple times he was confirmed by telephone to come over and for several days in a row he was a no show. The work was satisfactory but was overshadowed by the lack of committment to our project. To top it all off, he refused to put the baseboard trim back when he was finished. His justification was that I had taken the trim off, so it wasn't his problem. I did take the trim off to assess the damage. Something he would have had to do anyway to fix the wall. I went with a small business rather than a national repair service thinking I would get better service. Not the case. Would not recommend using JB Construction.
