Our mission is to help you improve all of the productivity issues associated with the lighting at your location or locations. We survey your lighting situation, repair and clean light fixtures, and help to make changes that provide better lighting at a lower cost. This includes group re-lamping and high benefit lighting upgrades. Today we serve over 3,000 customers throughout the Chicago area and in the neighboring states of Wisconsin, Indiana, and Michigan.

All of our employees are fully trained as maintenance specialists and electricians as required by their membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 134. Our crews operate out of a fleet of trucks designed for interior maintenance support and high outdoor work. Each project has a job foreman and an operations supervisor to ensure the timely delivery of lighting products and a high quality of service. Our work can range from 20 fixtures in a coin laundry to an upgrade retrofit for thousands of fixtures in a large office building.

With early experience in the lighting services industry, Leon Mendelsohn founded the forerunner of our Company in 1955. His son, Cary, joined him in 1973 to open Imperial Lighting Maintenance Company. Together they have expanded the Company and helped to guide the development of their industry through their service to the National Association of Lighting Management Companies (NALMCO). Leon served as Vice President and Treasurer of NALMCO and Cary has served terms as Vice President and President of the Association. Currently, Cary serves on the Board of Directors of the National Lighting Bureau (www.nlb.org).
