I started taking my rescue dog to them in 2013. She was a puppy mill mom and was brought to me for foster. The staff at Hunter have helped me so much! The re-evaluated my rescue dog and put her on the right medications that have helped her break out of her shell. She is doing great! I almost gave up on this little dog because she seemed hopeless no matter what I did! Now, after being treated by the vets at Hunter, she is learning to play, that touch is not bad, and doesn't hide under the bed all day! I also took one of my other dogs there for a sinus/nose problem. They helped me and didn't go for the "dollar". They took the cheapest route for me first. I am really pleased with them!

Best Canine and Feline Hospital Ever!

by Tifael , 03/22/2013

Had to take my baby girl to the hospital today. A few stitches later she's a little groggy, but doing well. The reason I'm posting about this isn't for sympathy, but to let all my friends in the Salt Lake valley to take your business to Hunter Animal Hospital for all your canine and feline needs. The entire staff was extremely kind to both us, and Amaterasu. And the bill was a pleasant surprise too. I called around getting quotes while Marissa was on her way home, the first place quoted $430.00, Hunter would not give a quote because they didn't assess the issue yet, and the 3rd place quoted $320.00 - $380.00. Needless to say, they took care of all we needed for less than $170.00!!!! Awesome care, and awesome price. All around the best veterinary clinic I've ever been to. Even if you live 20 miles away it's worth the commute!!! Thank you!

Best care & affordable price!

I have taken dogs and recently my cat to them. They're the best. They listen to your concerns and put your mind at ease. I have never had a vet call just to check up on a pet after seeing them like they do. The price is right for sure. I have reccomended them numerous times and will continue doing so. i drive from the avenues to come here and it's worth it. Dr. Mike & Dr. Adam are wonderful.

Hard Times

by slcstylist , 03/15/2011

We had to put our 14 year old dog down. It was a ruff time for us. The staff there was incredibly thoughtful and patient with us. They were very respectable and nice of our wishes and feelings. They even sent us a sympathy car a day later. I would recommend them to anyone.

Mom of Dauchsunds

by Dauchsy Mama , 09/07/2010

We have been taking our dauchsunds pups there since they were born early this year. The doctors are patient, friendly and gentle. They are informative and helpful. The ladies at the front desk are also very kind and they know what they are doing. Thanks guys! Your doing a great job!

Great Place

by Whathe#@$# , 07/21/2010

I found a small feral kitten last winter near a field by my work. We were able to catch it because it was so cold it would or could not move. I original took the kitten to a national chain veterinary and they where not gentle or patient with the kitten. After a week I noticed the kitten was walking funny more of a hop. I thought something might be wrong with his back legs or back and decided to take him somewhere else. The staff was gentle and patient and took their time so they would not frighten him. They didn't even have to use the massive thick gloves to handle him. They were also able to give him shots without a fuss. I found a good home for him and I am now adopting an animal of my own and I will only take her to Hunter Animal Hospital.

Love it

by Amy , 04/09/2010

Love this place. We had to have our pug put down a few months was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. The staff there were very kind and compassionate. They let us have as much time as we needed with our baby. We had previously been seeing a different vet and did not like the way we were treated. I would recommend this place to everyone!

accidentally found a great place

by momoffour , 03/03/2010

I am new to the area and found this place by accident, so glad I did. They are great with all my animals, cats and dogs alike.

This place disgustes me. My sister in law took their dog there and he was having seizures, the Vets did nothing to help Demon and he ended up dying right on the front lawn of their clinic! The is a inhumane way of treating animals and I want it out there! I have contacted the media and hopefully people become more aware of the way these people treat animals!!!
