Don't Go There

I bought a 2012 Nissan Maxima from this dealership brand new in 2012. The first problem I had with it was last week when one of the headlights burnt out. I took the car to an auto parts store and the manager there came out and reviewed the headlights with me. After looking at them, he informed me the lights should be covered under warranty and I should go to the dealership to have them fixed. Two days later, I took my car to the Nissan dealership to have the bulb replaced. I dropped my car off and left, prior to leaving, I watched them pull the car into the service center. After about an hour, I received a call from them saying my headlight was broken. I told them not to fix it and I would look at it when I got there. When I arrived back at the dealership, they showed me the headlight that was broken - which was under the light that was out. I explained to them that I had the car at the auto parts store two days before and the light was not broken. Their response was "This is how you brought it here." So I asked to talk to the manager and I explained to him the situation. His response (after talking to the service people, cause he had not seen my car) was "You brought it here like this." They also refused to fix the light under warranty because it was "the wiring" and not the actual light. At this point, I asked them to put my car back together and I was taking it somewhere else. I took my car back to the auto parts store and the manager of the store confirmed that the light was not broken two days prior when he had looked at it. He also noticed that they had not put my bumper back on properly. He also pointed out that the light should be covered under warranty regardless of whether it was the bulb or the wiring. Disgusted, I called the corporate Nissan office, hoping they would resolve the situation, but they did nothing as the dealerships are "privately owned." So, morale of the story, don't go there for any repairs - even if your car is under warranty. You will save money in the long run going somewhere else. I went in with a headlight that was out and I ended up with one headlight out, another headlight broken, and a bumper not put back on properly.

I would highly recommend a Nissan Product. However, after purchasing several vehicles from Hummel's over the years, I was extremely disappointed at the way I was treated most recently. Hummel's touted customer loyalty to me, however none was shone to me during my attempt to purchase a vehicle. I would not recommend this dealer. There are a number of other Nissan dealers you can choose from.

Stopped in for an express oil change... was told it would be over an hour. I asked what the express service was for and they said not available when they were busy?? After an hour wait, I paid for my oil change ... I asked the girl at the checkout counter what the express service was for... she had no idea what I was talking about. I emailed the company the following week and never received a reaponse.

So far everyone has been pleasant in the service area and the work has been done well. One thing I am used to at a dealership though is washing your car afterwards, they do not do this.

I have purchased 2 vehicles from Hummel's Nissan since graduating college. I have always received great service, both during the shopping process and while in for routine maintenance, and I have always been treated with respect. My cars have both been great, and I will definitely go back to Hummel's Nissan next time I need a vehicle. Highly recommended!

Our family has purchased 5 cars off Hummels in the last 5 years and they have always been really easy to do business with. The sales staff is accommodating and professional. Tom in service is great also.

My wife and I have taken delivery of nine new Nissans and one used Nissan from Hummel's Nissan since 1990. I can assure you all of the staff, from management to sales, from financing to parts, from service to cashiers are professional and very pleasant. They have a great selection of cars. The building is always clean and the waiting area is very comfortable. Our vehicles are always ready on time whether in for service or being delivered new to us.

The sales portion went fairly smoothly. However, the service was poor. Took the vehicle in for service twice for the same issue and still not resolved.######As with most dealers I would not recommend their service departments, over priced and poor workmanship.

I have purchased two vehicles from here. The sales staff was easy to work with. The sevice dept, when we needed to use them, was awesome. I will buy my next vehicle here because of the service I have received after the sale.
