Feathers still in turkey
by vduman , 11/28/2013
First time I have had to pluck a bird before cooking it. The brown spots from bruises or ??? Even had to cut the neck off. Very disappointed. Not sure if I got all the feathers out. Found the turkey at Grocery Outlet and thought, yah a cheaper turkey, now I see why. I will never use your brand again. Its obviuosly worth more to get a bird that looks presentable ,costs more and takes less time to prep it. My dinner may not be served on time since I had to spend almost 40 min going over it tocheck and pluck it. Makes me think your farm is inhumain towards your animals.
No Turkey for the New Year!
by No trukey for New Year ! , 01/05/2013
While shopping at Wal-Mart for my New Years turkey I noticed House of Rarford brand seemed to be the bird of choice.Sence their was no other brand I decieded to make the purches. New Years morning after opening the trukey I was shocked to see there were feathers left on the wings and back of the bird . There were black brusing on one sid e of the bird as though it had been kicked in processing . Their was no way I would pre-pair such a bird for a large group of people. I had to send my husband to the grocery for sereral hens instead of cooking trukey like I had told my guest.I saved the lable & the tag that was on the turkey to show you hoping that their would be some way you could identify the prossing plant from which it came. Owning a business myself (The Flower & Gift Shop) I incourge anyone who has ever gotton anything that was not sastifactory to them to please let us know. I'm sure you feel the same way. This purches was least to say not a GRADE A turkey as the lable so stated..22.30 lbs . of unused bird & 19.62 dollars wasted.
