We are a private, nonprofit corporation established in 1961, affiliated with the Pacific Northwest Conference United Church of Christ. A 18-member Board of Trustees, which includes six residents, governs Horizon House.

How will you spend your day? You may prepare meals in your own kitchen or enjoy the company of others in our Dining Room. A 5,000 book library, gardens, styling salon, activity rooms, and rooms for your private entertaining or professional meetings are here for your use. Savor the quiet of your own apartment or join others for some work in the computer room, a game of bridge, an evening meal, or a day or weekend trip.

Horizon House offers a variety of residential apartments. A one-time entrance fee is based on the size and location of your apartment. A monthly fee covers all utilities, participation in our exercise/wellness programs, social and educational activities, extensive library, maintenance of appliances, building and garden areas, basic cable, and resident computer room. Additional amenities and services available for a fee include optional dining, housekeeping, DSL ports, styling salon, guest rooms, covered parking, van transportation, and trips and tours.

We offer cost-subsidized participation for our nursing care and assisted living areas. Other health services available include emergency call and response systems in all apartments, twenty-four hour medical staffing, medical and dental clinics, case manager, massage therapy, the exercise/wellness program, rehabilitation department, social services, spiritual care and respite care.

As a resident of Horizon House, you have available to you an array of services to help you maintain your health and independence. Included in your monthly fee are:

Exercise and aerobics classes in our Exercise Center. Exercise Physiologist on hand to help you with your fitness needs.

Educational forums to keep you up-to-date on health-related issues.

The services of a registered dietitian to assist you with dietary needs.

60 days of nursing care in our Health Center at a substantially reduced rate.

Emergency health care 24 hours a day.

Services of a clinically trained Pastoral Counselor to help with personal problem-solving.

Convenient optional services are available within Horizon House on a fee-for-service basis, including:

Dental Clinic offering full dental care.

Regular podiatry care in the Medical Clinic.

Fully-equipped Rehabilitation Therapy Department.

Supported Living apartments.
