Hope Services, founded in 1952, is a nonprofit agency that serves people with developmental disabilities. It offers a range of employment and job training programs, developmental activities, professional counseling, community living services and mobile training for more than 2,500 children, adults and seniors. The agency also provides children and senior services, including arts and crafts, exercise, music, discussion of current events and recreational activities, such as trips to beach, movies and local museums, and gardening, cooking and nutrition. It has more than 500 employees, and offers a range of business solutions that includes production, document destruction, staffing and food services. It also offers janitorial, custodian and mailroom services to federal and state government buildings. It obtains financial and nonfinancial resources for the agency through Hope Foundation. Hope Services is headquartered in San Jose, Calif.
