We as a family choose the Honsa Family Funeral Home after a loved one of ours had passed on the recommendation of a friend. When we met the fuenral director Melissa she seemed nice, caring and informativeasking what are wishes were for a funeral for our loved one. However the day of the visitation / funeral we had concerns with how are loved one looked at the public visitation, the flowers and the overlook of the funeral home and the temperature of the place. We addressed these concerns with Melissa and the owner Terri Honsa however I concerns were ignored by both. We also as a family had to call the funeral home several times over the nex several weeks to get the copies of the death certificates from Terri Honsa to obtain the insurance benenfits to pay for the funeral among other things only to find information to be incorrect on the paperwork which delayed getting the death benifits from the insurance company where Ms. Honsa had an excuse for everything and was eager and not so patient in geting paid. None the less after almost two months we as a family recived are insurance benefits and death certificates in the mail. However I would consider anther funeral home other than Honsa Funeral Home again in the future after spending almost nine thousand dollars on a funeral I would think people who are supoose to be professionals and go to school to do this kind of work should know what they are doing and how to treat people. So in closing let the family or the buyer be aware and choose carefully when doing business with Honsa Family Funeral Home.
