THIS PLACE IS NASTY AS HELL... DO NOT CHECK IN THERE JUST BECAUSE IT'S CHEAP .. THE CHEAP THINGS TURN OUT EXPENSIVE. THE MANAGER ROBERT DON'T CARE FOR NOBODY THERE IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM HE WILL JUST ASK YOU TO LEAVE, MAINTENANCE ARE JUST BEHIND HIM IF YOU ASK FOR HELP THEY GO AND ACT LIKE THEY CHECK IT BUT NEVER GET ANYTHING FIXED... THE ELEVATORS INSPECTION HAVE BEEN EXPIRED FOR 8 MONTHS THE CEILING IS FALLING DOWN YOU CAN SEE OUTSIDE OF THE ELEVATOR WHEN ON IT AND MAKES A HORRIBLE AND SCARY SOUND WHEN IT STOPS. THE OWN EMPLOYEES FROM THERE HAVE TOLD US THAT THEY NEED NEW MATERIALS AND NEW THINGS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE GUESTS AND THAT THEY DON'T WANT TO SPEND MONEY.. I ALSO HEARD FROM ANOTHER EMPLOYEE THAT THERE ARE PEDOPHILES THERE AND THAT THEY DIDN'T CARE AS LONG AS THEY HAD A VALID ID.. WHEN THERE ARE KIDS HERE.. A MAINTENANCE GUY WAS ONE AND I REPORTED HIM BECAUSE HE WAS HARRASING ME ... DRUG TRANSACTIONS IN EVERY CORNER.. THE POLICE IS THERE EVERYDAY.. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS PLACE IS STILL ON SERVICE BECAUSE IT IS NOT SAFE AT ALL.. I EVEN HAD A FROG IN MY ROOM AND I WAS ON THE 5TH FLOOR..THERE IS MOLD IN THE BATHROOM,IN THE REFRIGERATOR, BED BUGS I HAD PROBLEMS WITH MY TOILET AND THE LOCK THE DOOR.. DO NOT STAY HERE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH AND IF YOU HAVE KIDS EVEN WORST DO NOT PUT THEM IN THIS KIND OF ENVIRONMENT.........THIS PLACE SHOULD JUST BE CLOSE....

I checked into Home Suite Home. Within days I had huge swollen bedbug bites. Of course, I did not have any before. The head of maintenance came and looked into the room and said he did not see any bedbugs. I was later told that bedbugs were not a "problem" unless they could be seen running on the floor, and "every room had some bedbugs". I told the front desk I was extremely allergic to them, as many people are, when I checked in. I can take prescription medication for the allergic reaction and swelling, but the drugs I had to take after the bites that I got at HSH hotel were dangerous to my health, I was also promised a refund that I never got. I spent 6 hours treating all my belongings that I had with me with heat, spray, forcefully shaking, and them inspecting every seam and crevice (and other 3 hours when I got to a safe hotel). Finally, while changing out of my contaminated clothes to seal them in plastic, the maintenance man (who had not been called, and had already decided he saw no bedbugs when he looked in the room), entered the room without knocking while I was naked. He said he thought no one was there. so the hotel has no security, either. No hotel should ever operate like that. I was a victim of fraud and my health suffered because of the filth.
Home Suite Homes are a joke by
They treat tourists much different from the long term stay customers. The rooms are filthy (carpets, chairs, bathrooms), things are broken and obviously from the room not being checked. DirectTV stations go off the air. Wifi signal can be very erratic and there's no way to hardwire a computer. And there is no one available to repair either tv service or wifi issues after about 6pm. It will have to be addressed the next day. The water had to be shutdown twice within a month. So, IF the water is working, that brings us to the laundry rooms......omg, you have to be kidding. There are 6 washing machines and 6 dryers in each. Most of the time you're lucky if half of them work. One week they had an outside company come in to repair them and the first time I used a washer the spin cycle didn't work. You have to wash your own towels and washcloths, they don't do those. They will give you a change of sheets....every two weeks. But you had better be prepared to strip the beds and make them yourselves because they don't do that either. You have to take your own garbage because that comes with the two weeks room cleaning as well. The bad part is the dumpster is in the far back of the resort. For three weeks I had to keep going back the front desk when my key wouldn't work after I had already paid in advance. I wasn't told until the 3rd instance of this that the keys have to be recoded each week. The front desk personnel are either ignorant to policies or just don't think to advise customers of different situations. On four separate occasions I either called the front desk or walked up there with an issue. Each time I was told they would address the problem. The problems weren't fixed and I was never contacted by management for any sort of follow up. The management? Don't ever go to Lou. He treats long term customers like you're some lowlife scum. I've had employees tell me he treats them the same way. They have also told me he angers the long term renters so much that they move out. And, as the employee stated, they are the only people keeping this on it's feet as it is. There aren't enough tourists willing to go here to make it go. I would have fired this jerk a LONG time ago. I do have to admit that most of the employees will talk to you and fairly friendly. They were as frustrated as I was. There is a small paper sign at the front desk stating you can get one week free if you have a friend rent a room for at least two weeks. Really???? THE PRICE IS RIGHT BUT AT WHAT PRICE? Angel's Restaurant is decent and the lounge is large and friendly. They might as well blow up the rest. The worst part is I had a friend tell me they stayed at the other Home Suite Home just down the road in Old Town and they said that one is even worse.

I have stayed at "Home Suite Home" and have thoroughly enjoyed all of my stays there, which have totaled three, in 2011. Renee, who works the front desk, is very kind and cordial. I am returning to Florida in a couple of months and plan to do business with them , for the fourth time.
worse brokedown crackhotel by
I was going to stay in this hole in the ground place they call qa motel...but once I got in the room I totally felt very unsecure. It was NASTY !!! The walpaper was coming down..the bathroom...OMG...I had to clean the toilet and then pu paper down on the seat before I would even think about sitting on it...There was mold all round the tub and was dirty. Most of the light bulbs did not work nor the mini hair dryer. There was a rusted house size fridge and the t.v didnt work. I called the front desk about the t.v. and the response i Got was "you need to fix it nad know how to operate it! " Also she said the maintence man was at dinner break for an hour and she would have him come up. There were a lot of young kids hanging around outside making all sorts of noise and ruckus. That was enough...I pay good money for a little bit od comfort and security but you will NOT find it here. Needless to say..I had to fight to get my money back!! BEWARE...check the room before you purchase!

Lousy customer service, dirties rooms I've ever seen, charge extra for anything like getting more towels, extra linen or even clean the room more than once in a week, greasy carpet, peeling paint, sink falling apart, musty smell, crumbs everywhere,,,,at this motel DO NOT expect to feel like customer first...they only want their money,,,,I did not even get the $100 deposit back after only one night that I stayed...I reserved for one week and they did not want to reimburse my money after I complained of the filthiness,,that is not customer first,,,,this place need to have the health inspectors come and it shut down!!! I do not recommend it!!!

WELL I BEEN AT THIS HOTEL/APARTMENT/EVERY WINTER SINCE 09/09 I HAVE HAD SOME MINOR PROBLEMS THAT WERE ADDRESSED AS SOON AS I PICKED UP THE PHONE AND ASKED THEM TO REPAIR.OR REPLACE SOMETHING IT WAS DONE WITHIN 0NE HALF HOUR.THIS PLACE IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT,AND THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST TO KEEP ALL 485 UNITS,UP AND RUNNING,AS FAR AS ROACHES? NEVER SEEN ONE,NOR HAVE I HEARD OF BEDBUGS PROBLEMS? THIS OWNER HAS 30 PEOPLE WORKING ON AT THIS HOTEL,THE HOTEL IS INSPECTED EVERY FEW MONTHS,BY THE STATE,OH YA THE POOL HAS ALWAYS BEEN CRYSTLE CLEAN,AND THEY DO CLORINATE IT EVERY DAY AFTER TESTING THE WATER,SO SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT COMPLAIN ABOUT IT NEED TO RETHINK WHAT THEY ARE SAYING..TRY TO UNDERSTAND THE NEW OWNER IS HERE AND ALWAYS AVAILABLE TO TALK TO YOU.THE NEW MANAGMENT TEAM IS WORKING HARD TO MAKE UP FOR THE FORMER OWNERS FAILURES,THE NEW MANAGER OF OPS TOOK OVER IN AUGUST OF 2010, AND SHE HAS BROUGHT THE PLACE UP TO SNUFF AND WORKING ON NEW RESTURANT THAT WILL OPEN MIDDLE OF FEB.
So I've never stayed at this hotel and I'm not planning to in the future but I found saskuatch1979's review very interesting. You said that the fleas were so bad your kittens died..I'm intrigued. Exactly how many kittens were with you and why did you ever bring them to that hotel? Still though, you'd think that the kittens would have fun chasing the cockroaches and playing with them. I guess your kittens were wimps. Anyway.Thanks.
