Don't allow yourself to get admitted by Former Patient - 12/11/2009I had major surgery and was admitted. On the 4th day I told my Dr. to let me go home. Most of the nurses are ok but, the few that act like you're imposing on them when you're in pain and need some meds.or should the patient need anything!! The nurse assigned to my room on day shift was joking and having a good time accross the hall from my room was upset when I asked for some pain med. she never told the head nurse. I finally got them an hour and a half later!! I was supposed to have support tools for my condition and THE HEAD NURSE told me that, it's too difficult to get what I needed from the other floor. All I needed was a special chair, A FOLDING TYPE CHAIR, that my Dr. ordered and put into my chart, that weighs about 8 lbs.!! Go the extra couple miles to Little Co. Of Mary or Christ Hospital.Don't allow yourself to be admitted, at least until the Hosp. can correct their issues!! It doesn't even deserve 1 star!!
DRIVE THE EXTRA MILE FOR BETTER SERVICE. by SERVICESUCKS - 11/10/2008DRIVE THE EXTRA MILE FOR BETTER SERVICE. Silver Cross has been the worst experience that I have ever had. I'm a mother of 2 and my youngest daughter (2 years old) along with my nephew (2 years old) found a prescription pill bottle in my sister+s purse and took it out without us seeing it. Within 10 mins from the time we got home the kids took the bottle and came by to show us the empty bottle. We rushed them to Silver Cross knowing that it was the closest location at 4.1 miles away. Well let me tell you this was the worst experience of my life. I already felt like a terrible parent that my child somehow got a hold of meds, but now your establishment also made me also feel like a criminal. Silver Cross has the worst customer/medical services and respect for the customer than any hospital that I ever been to. I am a disabled vet from the gulf war and have been to some poor hospitals in the past but this beats them all. Well let me tell you this was the worst experience of my life.
