Wednesday, September 14th marked the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross--and since our church is so named, that entire week had great meaning and significance for me, as well as the entire congregationThe Healing Mass on Thursday was so grace filled--I could feel the soothing balm of Christ's touch as I was anointed and I believe the others present also felt Him, through our wonderful priest, Father Stephen Willard. I encourage everyone to seek this grace through a future healing Mass and to join us. Our message for the entire year is Always Home, Always Family"--

We came to Holy Cross as a family in 1998 after 7 years at another local Catholic Church and within the first month felt more at home than we ever did at any other church.This parish family has seen us through the death and burial of a child and the joy of adopting and baptizing another, and we are grateful to be a part of it. We are home!

I believe that Holy Cross is the most beautiful church in Champaign-Urbana. The architecture reminds me of the magnificent cathedrals of Europe, with it’s Baroque style and aura of majesty, a transplanted jewel of a bygone age. One senses the presence of the Divine here.
