Beautiful Setting by Gramps - 10/12/2007
The Holladay cemetary is a beautiful setting but after they sold it to memorial Estates, the operation of it has left much to be desired. They have a policy that all decorations are removed within 7 days and of course we didn't find out about that until 3 or 4 decorations were "stolen". Their maintenance has deteriorated to the point that when a water line freezes or quits functioning, instead of fixing it, they cap it off and expect families to walk farther away to find a working faucett. The staff there have always been very helpful and willing to assist, but I think the corporate office ties their hands when it comes down to anything that will cost money. They do provide a nice program on Memorial Day every year. Since we buried our daughter there, we've never missed being there for the program and the free hot dogs and drinks.
