Always had excellent customer service at Hobby Lobby. I requested 75 cookie heart cookie cutters for a wedding favor. The Tinley Park location didn’t have the sufficient amount, so they called around and located them at the Joliet location. They called and had them held for me. Very accommodating. Thank you!

While at Hobby Lobby I found an item I was really interested in but I was unaware of the cost. I asked for help and asked "Excuse me m'am do you know how much this item is?" and the lady exactly said "Ugh do you know how hard it is to do this" but all she had to do was just scan the code. After she scanned the item she rudely gave me the price and walked away. Shocked by this I decided to walk around and see what else I could find. While walking around I overheard some lady and the assistant who "helped" me earlier and the customer asked the exact same question I asked and the assistant responded with "Let me just take a quick look at that honey". Also while walking around I noticed that I was being followed around to make sure I wouldn't steal anything. I am pretty sure I was the only person of color in the store and also there were many other people in the store who weren't being followed around. I felt uncomfortable by this so I decided to get what I needed and leave. I arrived at the checkout and there was a person paying. The cashier was so polite to the lady, making conversation and being friendly towards her but when it was my turn to pay she completely ignored me when I said "Hello how are you doing today" she just looked at me and gave me a rude glance. While giving me the total she said the price slowly, assuming that I don't speak English, which is my first language, and when she bagged my item she just threw it me as if she didn't care. Outraged by this I took my bag and left, I looked back to see who was in the exact same lane as I was and the woman paying was treated with such kind respect unlike how I was treated. I am never planning to shop at Hobby Lobby ever again in my life.
