A dear friend spent two months between a west suburban hospital and nursing home in the winter of 2009. MANY flower arrangements were always present; however, flowers from one person ALWAYS stood out head and shoulders above the rest. I noted the sender's name and, at the funeral lunch, asked the sender the name of the florist they used. It was Hillside Chatham Florist on Chicago's SW side. in 2010 I ordered an arrangement for a north side friend. Hillside explained how THEY make the arrangement at their 111th Street shop, then send their van downtown to meet a daily consortium of flowershop vans where arrangements are exchanged. This enables their arrangements to be delivered throughout the whole Chicago area. The 2010 arrangement was exactly in the colors I requested and stunning. I just ordered another one for the 2011 holiday. Nationwide 800 # florists have disappointed me. If you need flowers in Chicago & its suburbs, Hillside will impress you (and your recipients).

I live in the general area of this store so have used their services a few times a year, for probably 10 years. I have never been disappointed in the selection for the price point I have chosen,and I always order by phone, so I am buying an item on their advice and recommendation. I was in the store once and was surprised that the customer area is quite small. However, they have managed each request beyond my expectations: funerals- bouquets, standing arrangements etc.; birthday/special event flowers delivered on time, and overall consistent performance for any ad hoc or special event. I am very happy that I found them,k and will continue to give them all of my business.
