High Tea With Gerri is a tea room located in Riverwoods, Illinois. From the gardens of the North Shore and the estates of Barrington, to the historic homes to the Gold Coast, the art of afternoon tea lives on through the tasteful creations of High Tea with Gerri.Drawing on her culinary training in London and her native Ireland, Gerri presents an authentic English Tea prepared fresh for your appointment.
The first course includes an artful presentation of eight varieties of sandwiches, followed by Gerri's scones, apple-rhubarb pie with fresh mint and cream, and an array of petite pastries.
Gerri and her assistants fill delicate Shelly of Worchester antique china tea cups with freshly brewed and strained tea from antique silver teapots in authentic Victorian attire.

gerri is fantastic and her food is amazing! by JMH - 11/14/2009I have been to two events that Gerri has catered - both for large groups of ladies and I was very impressed with how smoothly everything went and how fabulous the food and service were. Gerri oversaw both events and had her servers perfectly trained - all were dressed the part, and served in such a lovely and fashion - well-mannered and with smiles on their faces. The food was excellent and better than tea at the nicest hotels downtown! The china was lovely, and all the serving pieces were exquisite. I do not know Gerri personally, I have only seen her at these two events, so this is not written by a friend, it is purely objective. I would recommend her highly. You won't go away hungry, but you won't feel over-stuffed - you will feel like you have travelled to Europe and had a relaxing afternoon. Gerri's service was reasonably priced and far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend her to everyone I know and plan to attend the annual event in my area that she caterers. I al
