A Portland Tradition by MarilynC - 10/21/2007Location, location, location--Higgins has definitely got that, plus good food and great service! Everybody has to go at least once a year. The bar is usually crowded, and the entire place is pretty small, but that makes it more desirable.

You always know that the food has been hand selected from known vendors. Located in the museum district on SW Broadway, it is close to many wonderful downtown destinations. The wine selection is outstanding. Service is attentive without being overbearing, and the wait staff is thoroughly knowledgable about the offerings.

Great pre- or post-theater by BRR - 09/24/2007Higgins is an excellent place for a nice dinner before or after a show at the Schnitz or Keller. The chef prepares food with fresh in-season ingredients, and is creative, but not weird-creative. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for out-of-town visitors and locals alike who are looking for a nice dinner.
