Things just never remain the same and after all these years. by MrWalker - 12/03/2008Recently we bought a cake for my birthday + a `chocolate torte+. We were unhappy with the frosting on the cake, as it tasted very off to us, all four of us.
This cake has been our family+s only cake for special occasions for many years. We buy at least 6 a year, the most recent (prior to my birthday) was a quarter sheet that we hand carried to Illinois for my son+s birthday. I think we have been buying this cake for over 20 years.
We looked forward to this cake for 4 birthdays per year, a wedding anniversary, and any other milestones that happen in the course of a year. The only dessert we consider for these occasions is the chocolate torte. Only one other time in all those years did we have a problem with the cake, and that was when the wrong cake was used (regular chocolate, not chiffon). Given that you can provide no explanation as to why this cake is different, we will no longer be ordering cakes from you. We are sorry to see this tradition end.
