I know this sound funny but I LOVE "MY" TRASH COMPANY!!!! They are nothing short of OUTSTANDING! I am an apt manager and have used them at every property I have been at in Portland. They are truly one of my best vendors. They give incredible customer service and their prices beat all the other trash companies. Family run business who REALLY CARES. Seriously folks this is one of the BEST companies out there! You know they must be AWESOME for me to gush like this haha! :D

Don't sign a Heiberg Contract!

PLEASE DON'T EVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH HEIBERG GARBAGE. I'm sorry that I did! Their garbage hauling service is fine but over priced. I found competators that will collect for 1/2 Heiberg's price. After being with Heiberg for 8 years they would not let me out of the contract without thousands in penalties and threats of litigation.Terrible business practices! Brian Heiberg should be ashamed. Will never use them again... ever!

Worst company ever! Don't ever sign a contract with this organization. They will hide behind the fine print in the contract and force fees or legal action. I did business for over 8 years (well past the three year contract) with them and when trying to move on they would not let me out of the contract. Unbelievable!!! Brian Heiberg should be ashamed of his business practices. Please don't ever use this company!

Getting information is impossible

It's Sunday evening. Garbage pickup is tomorrow at 6 AM. We've been away and I want to know whether tomorrow is the pickup day for non-recyclables or whether it is next week. I Google but am told the Heiberg website is "under construction"; I call their number but a recording tells me to call back at 8 AM tomorrow. If something has to be picked up every other week instead of every week, I'd rather it were the compostable stuff instead of the garbage, but whatever it is, isn't there some way to let us know what the schedule is?

Superb service. And it's bogus when someone's complaining about the service in December, 2008 - When it was the WORST snow storm in over 40 years. The office staff is very nice and I'm always happy to tip the driver during holiday.

Unhappy with Compost Pilot project

I am very disappointed with the compost pilot project. My regular garbage is picked up half as much and if I end up with a snow cone pick up I am charged extra. Please does anyone have enough compost that justifies weekly pick up other than the horrible smell. We are being charged the same amount and regular garbage picked up half as much. Then charged for extra bags when if picked up weekly we wouldn't have extra bags. Not a happy camper.

HAPPY CUSTOMERS!

THEY DID CHANGE OUR PICK UP DAYS BUT THEY SENT ALL MY NEIGHBORS AND I LETTERS IN ADVANCE WHICH WAS HELPFUL! IT IS MUCH EASIER TO HAVE ALL OF OUR CARTS PICKED UP ON THE SAME DAY VERSUS A DIFFERENT DAY FOR YARD DEBRIS. THE GUYS ON THE TRUCKS ARE FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS WAVE TO MY BOYS. OFFICE STAFF IS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL ON THE PHONE WHEN I DO HAVE TO CALL - THANK YOU HEIBERG!

Great Customer Service!

My garbage was missed and they were out there the next day to take care of it. The garbage man even told me it was his fault, he overlooked my can. Very nice and helpful lady answered my call. I was happy to not get an automated answering service!

Good Customer Service

somehow my garbage can got missed on it's regular day, and when I called about it I received Great customer care, I received an immediate apology and was told that my can would be emptied immediately the next morning. The truck made a special trip back to my neighborhood and my can was emptied first thing the next day.....

THE CUSTOMER COMES LAST

IRREGULAR SERVICE - WHEN THEY MISS YOUR PICKUP - AND YOU CALL THEM THEY DO NOT COME BACK TO PICK IT UP. THEY SAY THEY WILL ALLOW EXTRATHE NEXT TIME THEY ARE BY - A WEEK LATER OR A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER. ALSO THEY CHANGE RECYCLE DAYS OF PICK UP TO SUIT THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF THE CUSTOMER. THEY ALSO DO NOT CONTACT THE CUSTOMER TO LET THEM KNOW OF THEIR CHANGES. WORST SERVICE LEVEL I HAVE EVER SEEN.
