Formerly known as Halversen & Martin, the business was founded in 1946. The name Heating Equipment Company, came in to effect on July 1, 1948. This is when Jim Tewell bought in and took over operations of the company.

Heating Equipment Company became a Lennox dealer in 1950, and so we are the Treasure Valley's dealer with the Longest association with Lennox. When Lennox developed the Premier Dealer program, Heating Equipment Company became Idaho's first dealer to qualify as a Premier Dealer.

Heating Equipment Company had relocated from their Main Street address, to 415 Kimball Ave. in Caldwell in 1950. In March of 1964, the company moved once again; this time to a newly built facility at 123 Everett Street. The following owner, Tom Eld, began working for the company in 1959, operated as Vice President for several years, and eventually purchased the business in July of 1983. His son-in-law, Stanley Johnson, purchased the business in 2001. The business has grown substantially over the years and remains a stable part of Caldwell's economy.

Still at it's Everett Street address, Heating Equipment Company serves the public in any need of heating, cooling, and general sheet metal work.
