The Heartland Family Service Senior Center offers recreational, social and nutritional programs to meet the needs of seniors over the age of 60. There is no cost for membership. The center serves an ENOA-sponsored lunch at noon for a suggested $3.00 contribution.
Monthly musical entertainment with MerryMakers performers are sponsored by the Gary and Mary West Foundation. Weekly activities include nurse visits, crafts, Bingo, card games, outings, parties, speakers, computers with Internet access, fun and friends. T’ai Chi classes meet three times a week. Easy parking is available and limited transportation is provided on weekdays for 50 cents each way.
Every spring a Senior Prom is hosted at the Field Club by the agency's Junior Friends, who are high school-age volunteers.
