Small but very friendly by -The Quilted Dog - 10/28/2007Heart to Hand is a very small shop, but their staff is very friendly. Their classes are fun and taught by some very good instructors. Wish there was more fabric (but don't all of us quilters wish for that)...but the choices they have are good. The owner is a wonderful lady, as well as the staff.
Very friendly place by mgodfrey39 - 10/06/2007Friendly staff and good assortment of fabrics, books, and kits. Classes are very good and taught by experienced quilters. Have open sewing sessions that are a lot of fun to take part in. Across the street from my favorite restaurant!
friendly neighborhood shop by quilter - 10/03/2007This is a quilt shop that is definitely attentive to its market. They have a fairly traditional blend of fabrics, but there are plenty of batiks and brights and a varied run of classes for all levels. Very friendly employees, and still they manage to let you wander if you just want to "window shop" or look around for inspiration. The owner has recently surveyed the e-newsletter recipients and is adding notions and classes in response. Seems to have a devoted customer base in the area and plenty of others who come from quite far away to participate in their many events. Also has a good online service, with specials that are not available in the shop itself.
HEART TO HAND QUILT SHOP by KODIAK - 10/03/2007I VISITED THE SHOP TO SEE FACE TO FACE WHAT I HAD OBSERVED OVER THE INTERNET. I WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE INSIDE OF THE STORE, AS THE OUTSIDE WAS SOMEWHAT DEPRESSING. THEY HAVE GREAT IDEAS FOR CLASSES BUT I WISH MORE WERE DURING THE DAY. I WOULD NOT WANT TO PARK MY CAR AROUND IN THE AREA AT NIGHT. THE WORKER WAS VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND I DID FIND A CLASS IN THE DAY TIME TO SIGN UP FOR.
