HealthWay has been serving Medford and the Rogue Valley for over thirty years. In 1992, it was purchased by the Giles family, who moved to Medford from Grants Pass. After operating fourteen years out of our store next to Safeway, we realized we were running out of shelf space! In 2006, we moved to our current location, a brand new building within the Medford Center. Our new location not only allowed us to expand our food selection, but our supplement section as well. Our new store also offers increased parking, including upfront handicap parking with wheelchair access. We now have a "just the right size" store, with wide isles that offer breathing room to navigate our extensive selection. We specialize in quality supplements, allergen friendly foods (especially gluten free), special orders and clean face & body care products.

Through out HealthWay's history, our primary focus has always been customer service. This means we think of you first. We work hard to offer an enjoyable shopping experience, competitive prices and an especially knowledgeable staff. Every time you walk in our doors, you'll be able to speak with someone with years of experience, one on one! We encourage our customers to ask as many questions as they like, from the simple to the very technical, we welcome all.

High Quality, in Every Aspect

As a (very) small cleaning business owner, I find my own expectations and awareness of cleanliness and customer service heightened and almost unfair. As a rule, the difference in experience between corporately owned mega-stores/franchises vs small, local businesses is often like night and day to me. Healthway is a perfect example. Every time I enter, I'm happily offered help. It's clear the staff is well-trained and educated; there's not a question I've had that the staff couldn't help with, and every subject is handled professionally and discreetly. Anything recommended by my ND they either have or find and order for me, which saves me a lot of time and hassle. All that, and it's clean. Essentially, this is my go-to for my phases of increased health aspirations.

This store has a nice vitamin selection. But they never seem to have glycerin, blue lotus flower, or have ever offered to order anything they do not carry. The health food store by Winco always offer to order anything they do not carry, and even give a discount if you buy bulk. However, I do not agree with the above statement, it has ALWAYS been a very clean store every time I have gone in. The staff seems nice, but not too concerned with helping, or maybe I just look like a lowlife, but I am their prime demo with lots of disposable income... Oh well.. The internet is cheaper, but as a local business owner, I would love to support this local business, but I treat my customers a lot better honestly....

We apologize for this response coming far too late! First, thank you for taking the time to do a review! We also very much appreciate you "defending" our clean store, we work hard to keep it that way. Sadly, we recently discovered the previous reviewer who referred to our store as dirty, was a former employee who unfortunately didn't work well with our team. To address the point of our inventory, we do regularly stock veg. glycerin and currently have it by two different brands with options ranging from 4oz up to a gallon. At the time of writing, our price on the gallon size matches or is within a few dollars of online pricing! You're right we don't stock blue lotus, it's an item that we very rarely get asked for (once every few years or so), but we'd be happy order it if possible. We are very concerned with helping each and every customer who walks in the door! To be open about some "behind the scenes" discussions we have, one of our biggest customer service challenges is excessively helping customers!!! Our employees are so eager to help that we sometimes are offering to help customers who have already been helped. This has happened enough where we've created protocols to make sure we're giving help when it's welcomed and space when it's desired.Additionally, when it comes to special orders, if we can possibly get it for you -we will. We take special orders every day and offer to do so 99% of the time if we don't have what you're looking for. I'm sorry to hear that wasn't your experience, but I assure you it won't happen again. If it is humanly possible to get our hands on it, we will! We do offer discounts on bulk orders and we will match any price in town. We also offer a Tuesday discount of 20% off four major brands, deep discounts on popular items every day and our returning customers earn $10 store credits to spend as they wish.Thank you and please don't hesitate to reach out. Not that impressed.

Employees very helpful. Good selection of vitamins, missing a lot of what I was looking for. But the store seemed dirty and felt un- natural not relaxed. Prefer to go to Natural Grocers, they have a huge selection of vitamins and very relaxing.

I have been done a lot of reading on nutrition, supplements, scientific studies, etc., but when I talked with TYLER, I was impressed at how knowlegeable he is. He must do a LOT of investigation and studying in his free time. I also look for CATHY, to discuss health/nutrition issues, as she is also a wealth of information.

Many times I have gone there to ask about various health conditions from muscle pain and insomnia to sinus infections and digestive issues. While I know they can't provide actual advice, they are honest, and they often tell me what works for most other customers. I have purchased these items, and many of them have worked better than medications. I have told my friends and family members to go there. My only problem with them is that often you can't get a person on the phone during business hours, and sometimes it takes a long time to receive a call back if you leave a message asking if they carry a certain product or not. That makes it hard to know whether you need to go somewhere else. Fortunately they carry almost everything you might need.

Every time I have gone in to this store I have been pleased with the service I have received and the staff has been extremely knowledgeable. More importantly they seemed to actually care about why I was in there and genuinely concerned as to why I was in there. Not only did they meet my needs but they gave me several options along with great education. You are treated like a person not a number. I will definitely be a lifelong customer.
