3/6/2009 - Bought our first home through his services and felt as though we got a good deal. Listed our property with him and felt like we got the shaft. We're pretty sure he ruined the deal for us by lying to the prospective buyer. We were told by the buyer they backed out because he was telling them things that we never said (and actually expressed the opposite in our meetings with him). At one point we even made a counter offer which he never even told the buyer. He then approached us with their counter offer (much lower than what we countered with) without ever even speaking to the buyer. In short we both felt lied to and walked away with a very bad taste in our mouths. I will not be doing business with him again.



Update: 6/26/2009 - After tonight's conversation with owner Hal Burgener I will be changing my score of 2 stars to a score of 1. Mr. Burgener saw fit to call me to discuss this review today. I believe his displeasure with my review is justified. In my opinion his actions to attempt a solution were desperate, inappropriate and rude. He started by calling numerous times while I was at work resulting in several "missed call" messages from an unknown number. I cannot answer my phone immediately most days due to the interactive nature of my work. Once he left a voice mail I was able to return his call within the hour. At first being cordial, Mr. Burgener told me that he found my review and he asked for an explanation. I told him that the review was how I perceived the relationship we had during both interactions. At this he attempted to point to my illness at the time (and my inability to complete a quick move out of the residence) as the deal breaker with the buyer. He told me he never lied to the buyer. I told him that after speaking with the buyer several times after the deal fell through, I believe he did lie to both of us. After that the conversation started to get a bit hostile for my taste and I believe this was because I refused to back down from my original review. I chose to end the call shortly after he decided to throw in the "attorney card". I told him that I no longer wished to speak with him and that I was offended at the mention of an attorney. I felt it was being used to try and intimidate me to remove my previous review. I wished him good night and hung up on him. His numbers have since been blocked from my phone. In summary, while I was completely honest in my last review I also believe I was too objective. I would not invite anyone to do business with Haldon Burgener and in extension any business or organization to which he is affiliated. I certainly will not be talking to him with some manner of legal buffer.
