Steve Hahn is fair and honest by
Our new 3-month old Toro lawnmower from Home Depot was used only 3 times (as my husband continued using our old Toro for awhile) and then stopped working. We took it to Hahn, one of the authorized Toro repair shops and thought it was under Toro warranty. A week later, I called for a status update and got none. The next day, Steve called me and said the problem was gasoline related, Toro would not cover it and I would have to pay $95 to have it repaired. I was shocked to say the least. Steve explained that this is a common problem now if gasoline is left in the mower for over 30 days. As someone who owned multiple Toro lawnmowers throughout the years; this was news to me! Since we now have regular professional lawn service and may only use this lawnmower occasionally, I was concerned that the $95 would be ongoing expenses, so I called Steve right back and asked him NOT to do anything while my husband and I tried to figure out a long-term solution. Steve said OK. Then 20 min. later, Steve called and said his crew had already done the repair w/o his knowledge. I called Toro customer service in hope that they would warrant the repair b/c the mower is practically new. I was told a supervisor would call and work with Hahn. Well, nothing happened (what a Toro customer service!). After waiting for 3 days, we decided to pick up our lawnmower, but I really had problem paying for something which I did not authorize. Without much dialogue, Steve suggested that we split the repair cost which I agreed, mainly because he was polite and courteous. Although this has been a very unpleasant experience, I do feel that Steve is fair and honest. I still think Toro customer service is service-NOT and I will think twice from now on before I buy another Toro product.
They do un-needed work without customer approval by
Hahnâs out the door price has always been 29-50% higher than the quoted price.Hahnâs has been sharpening my mowers for the last 10 years. My mower always cuts and runs good when I get it home. In the past, they quoted $69.00 to sharpen, but ended up adding on charges for Air Filter, Carb Kit, Oil Change and Spark Plug. This has always increased the bill to at more than $90.00. My mowers have always been running good when I dropped them off, so a tune up was not necessary. When I picked up one of my mowers on 05/10/13 they charged me $265.01. I was never called and informed of additional work needed beyond the sharpening I took it in for.When I picked up my other mower on 05/17/13 they charged me $192.92. Again I was never called and informed of the additional work needed beyond the sharpening I took it in for. When I got it home and used it, the belt would slip in thick grass. Last week the belt broke and I had to replace it.My son took his mower to a shop in Surprise AZ for sharpening and was only charged for sharpening.Now that I know this, I donât plan on using Hahnâs anymore and being charged for unnecessary work.

I took my weedeater in a week ago, called after 2 days to check status of repair, no one had even looked at it. Was told they'd look at in another 2 days because they were busy. I called back again in 3 days to make sure I gave them time to look at. The person who answered said, "dahlin' it's summer time and we're busy". Which means, a lowly homeowner, with only one weedeater to repair, is pushed on the back burner so they can service their business customers. Whatever happened to first come, first serve. Makes me feel that because I'm a female, I'm not valued as a customer. I only went to them because Toro told me they are a Master Service Center. There are other Master Service Centers in Phoenix - very disappointed in the lack of consideration from a small customer versus the lawn business people. My yard still needs attention regardless if I'm a homeowner or own a business that does landscape. Won't go back or refer this business ever.
Very good service by
I took in my lawn mower blade and was able to have the blade sharpened while I waited. It probably only took about 20 minutes to get in and out. Even better, the blade is now sharper than when I originally bought the mower.

What a blessing it is to visit Hahn's, they are so knowledgeable and kind in all their dealings with customers. We have known them for many years to be the most helpful and skilled garden equipment people. Don't miss the opportunity to do business with them!!!

to the upset patron... no one works for freei called hahns and recieved detailed instrctions over the phone on how to fix my mower and it worked the first time and it didnt cost a thing. they even offerd to dispose with my bad fuel. i would recommend hahns every time.

called for parts put me on hold for a long time, when they came back the guys were laughing on the phone, not professional. Employee asked me for part number model and so on I gave it to him several times, he said was not part number, called me a liar and hung up the phone. I called back asked for his name and said that was rude, I need the part, again he hung up the phone. I called another company that wanted my money, part number was good, and got the part with no drama.

TOOK MY BACKPACK BLOWER IN ON 7-13-09 HAD A RUNNIG PROBLEM WAS GREETED BY VETO TOLD HIM WHAT IT WAS DOING NAD HE SAID HE WOULD TAKE IT IN BACK NAD HAVE THE GUYS LOOK AT IT WAS A VERY SIMPLE FIX AND IT WAS DONE IN A SHORT TIME WAS ALSO TALKING WITH STEVE HAHN AND FOUND OUT THAT HE WAS BACK AT THE STORE THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME BACK IN SOMETIME FOR THE LAST TIME I WAS THERE WAS NOT GOOD GOT JERKED AROUND BY SOME OTHER GUY THAT WAS AT THE COUNTER AND DID NOT GO BACK BUT FIGURED I WOULD TRY AGAIN BECAUSE I WAS CLOSE AND NEEDED MY BLOWER.
