They don't know what to do with cork flooring
by Stan D , 01/29/2011
I paid these guys to install cork flooring in my house. The installers worked hard, even they did not follow the directions on the package, and, after the job was done and flaws started showing up, Guy's management didn't know what to do about them. They came out twice, told me that a one inch gap in the middle of my floor was "normal," and admitted that they had to research the website to discover how to fix it. I suppose they are OK for standard, wood floors, but look for someone with more and better experience if you are installing anything exotic or new. They wanted to sand and seal my cork floor. My cork floor is double sealed at the factory and it is strictly forbidden to use even abrasive cleaners on the product. To have sanded and sealed the floor would have ruined it and voided my lifetime contract at the same time.
