Guardian Medical Transport (GMT), a division of Flagstaff Medical Center, serves more than 6,200 square miles in Northern Arizona - from Happy Jack to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, our team is dedicated to providing prompt pre-hospital emergency medical services and non-emergent transport 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

GMT's 14 ambulances respond to the 911 system from three bases within Flagstaff city limits, and since May 2000 a crew and ambulance has been stationed in Tusayan, at the south rim of the Grand Canyon.

On average, GMT responds to more than 14,000 calls for service, demonstrations and stand-by support every year.

Often referred to as a mobile emergency room, each ambulance is staffed with a minimum of one paramedic and one emergency medical technician (EMT). The two-person crew provides basic life support and advanced cardiac life support services using state-of-the-art medical equipment. Under the direction of an attending FMC physician, crew members are cross-trained to provide specialty care for adult, pediatric and cardiac patients. Categories:   Emergency Services
