Food is average but what they aren't known for but should be..... They have the best frozen margaritas in the area by far. A bottle of tequila to their mix, seriously awesome drinks and it doesn't matter what flavor. If you are going for food, there's better in the area but for drinks and chips, you have to try one but a pitcher of them better have a dd or call Uber to take you home.

According to my receipt, at the Lindenhurst Grande Jake's, I paid for a to-go order of 4 hotdogs at 12:49. This, however, was after waiting for the person in charge talking to 2 employees for approximately 4 to 5 minutes. Although he saw me, he did not come to the register to take my order. When he did, there were, perhaps, 3 tables with people eating & no one in line behind me, & I was given a number. Shortly after my paying ($16.59), more customers came in (3? more tables/6? to go orders). I waited patiently for a VERY long time, even when a lady (who had the 'number' after mine) was served. (This lady, after also waiting a VERY long time, said to me, '…all I ordered was one taco'.) I watched the tables being served. I watched other to-go orders come & go. When, at least a half-hour later, the manager (?) glanced at me I raised my hands in a 'what's going on?' manner. He said, 'it'll be just a minute.' When another approximate 10 minutes went by & there were no new customers for quite a while, I went to the register & asked for my money back. The manager said it would be just a minute & then I witnessed him, himself, scurrying about to take simply hotdogs/buns out of the steamer & he, finally, gave me my order. I purposely looked at the time on my phone. It was 1:37. Forty-eight minutes to pick up 4 hot dogs. Even tho' we live less than a 1/2 mile away, we will NEVER, EVER go to Grande Jake's again.
