Jay was used by a friend of mine a few years ago and planned an amazing destination wedding for them. We did not hesitate to contact him when my Wife and I started talking about doing the same thing. Once we contacted jay and visited with him a few times he made fill really comfortable and gave us all the information we needed for us to start booking with him. The first problem we had with Jay is that as soon as we mailed out all 100 invitations to our guest we were inviting he called us and Informed us that the Hotel did not offer Weddings on the date that we already agreed upon, and had printed on our invitations to read as well, and that we were going to have to get Married on the day before that was not stated on our invitations. As we were so excited about this, we didnt think it was that big of a deal so we didnt ask anymore questions. As the booking continued and the wedding started to approach, we noticed that Jay was getting harded and harder to get in touch with, and that he was NEVER retunring our phone calls, and rarely retunring our emails( which he said that he would do if we could not talk with him on the phone). One of the main things that we requested from Jay was that since my wife has RA (rheumatoid arthritis) that everyone kind of be in the same location for when she was getting ready for our wedding the Hair girl, photographer, and Make up girl were all close to her and there would be no confussion. Once we all got checked in( remind you we brought 40 people with us thinking since we are bringing so many people to Jay he would take care of such a big group) we were sprayed through out this huge resort. There were also several people who had paid the same amount as everyone else and got "Parking Lot Views as stated by the resort" instead of the JR suites that we all paid for. My mother and father had an additional charge of 150 dollars that no one at Grand travel and cruise can explain, and Another person who didnt even go on the trip with us ended up paying for a trip as well. Jay did always seem to be a really nice guy from all the times that I did talk with him, but all these things above are the only reason I can think of that he avoided talking with me or my wife like the Plague leading into and coming back from our trip. Bercelo Maya is an amazing place, but from my point of view that are 100's of other ways of getting there instead of Jay Islam or Grand Travel and Cruise.
