After purchasing Black Walnut from Goby numerous times I wanted to write a review because I have been thoroughly impressed with the customer service and also the product. They have a great system going with air drying their wood as well as using the kilns to dry their larger lumber. From the moment I walked in the door until I left, the employees were attentive and very helpful. Great experience and will not purchase wood anywhere else!

I felt compelled to write this after the negative review I found when searching Goby Walnut. I just completed a slab table for a client and it turned out great! This is the third slab I have purchased from them and all have been fantastic - I have yet to encounter cracking or moisture issues. The first slab I purchased had to be re-worked and Art was kind enough to exchange it for a different piece. Their customer service has been great. And I'm not sure if the person below knows.... But lumber has to be air dried before it can be processed, hence why it sits outside. Great company, highly suggest!

I purchased my walnut slabs from Goby this year and immediately wished I didn't. I saw their selection on line, but when I came to their physical location and saw how carelessly they dried their products I realized why the wood cracked later. Stacked in the open air with the NW elements, no attention to detail and horrible customer service. My wood cracked and warped as I tried to make my furniture out of it. SAVE YOUR MONEY and go with the better options like I did the next time.
