The worst part about this restaurant was NOT the fact that they were very slow in seating us. Nor was it the fact that the waitress took 20 minutes to bring out the salad and soup, which were both sub-par. Nor yet was it the fact that it took another 30 minutes for our actual meal to arrive.



No, the worst part of Gloria's Little Italy was none of these things. It was the fact that my wife's chicken HAD NOT BEEN COOKED. It had been breaded, yes, but the inside was completely RAW. To add insult to injury, the waitress asked if we'd like her to take it to the back and have them heat it up more. What do you even say to that? "Sure lady, my wife just ingested raw meat, but we'd love to have you heat it up a bit more so we can give it another go"

Gloria's Little Italy is not just a terrible restaurant, it is a health risk. Avoid at all costs.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the location is great (right on tge corner of Center St. & University Ave.) and the food is fantastic! The owner even personally came around to the table to check that we were enjoying our food. The only drawback is the accordion player - he's pushy and loud and invasive, but he's only there a few times a week.

Run by a native Italian family, the food is authentic and fabulous! Talk about your hole-in-the-wall, mom & pop gem. The fresh pastries are to die for. We got so full from our meals that we almost passed up dessert, but once you see the mouth-watering display... we ended up leaving with a bag full of pastries to try at home. A bit pricey, but worth it!
