Provided by YP.comMy sister had her wedding here last weekend. It was exactly the "country" setting they were looking for for their wedding and reception. They were promised the world and given nothing they were promised. They were made to pay their bill in full a month before hand. Which i have never heard of for any type of event. They were told there would be new stairs installed (not for their wedding) and that was not done. The stairs are an accident waiting to happen. They were told their was an arch, there was not and they had to purchase one on their wedding day. On rehearsal evening we were treated like trash by the manager and the owner yelled at us to get off the grass (which by the way was where the ceremony was) because they seeded that day. Well why would you seed when you know there's rehearsal and a ceremony happening. The morning of the ceremony my sister and i arrived to nothing done! We had to go out and do it ourselves with the help of the wedding party and family. Keep in mind these were things that were promised they were doing. We wouldn't have to do anything..LOL..There was supposed to be a room for us to get dressed in and we were out in the dining room with no privacy. We soon found out why we didn't get our "room". Because they had another wedding booked at the same exact time. No one in either wedding party was told there was another ceremony that day and at the SAME TIME. They care nothing about you after they get your money!
P.S. I had to ask them to remove coffee cans with cigarette butts from the area the reception was held. But no one removed the bucket that hung on the porch. It was so disgusting to see a bucket with garbage and cigarette butts in it. That's so classless! Isnt that normal maintenance to empty, it clearly hadn't been emptied in a long time.

Provided by YP.comWhat a poorly ran unprofessional waste this place is. I had my wedding here and they double booked the venue. So, the time the two weddings were going on clashed. Both weddings were worried about the sound being an issue. The venue itself solved it by blowing fuses that went to the power for our sound system. (what kind of outdated death trap is still on fuses?) This was also the excuse for only half of our lighting working. Not that it mattered since they only half decorated our area. The tables were set by our wedding guests quickly before the bulk of them arrived. The staff of the Glen Loch were no where to be found leaving our area a half thrown together mess. To top it off their table benches left white paint all over everyone's clothes. I am not sure if it was from the beer tap/lines or the containers but there was dirt floating in the foam of fresh served beer. The wine that was passed out for our toast was not what we had chosen. It was so disgusting I was embarrassed to have had it served.
I would avoid this place at all costs. We chose to ignore the negative reviews, and paid for it. I wouldn't consider dinner here let alone an event. The staff that served our wedding were very good. They expressed embarrassment for being employees of such a greedy mismanaged place. I cannot express enough how terrible this experience was. The most upsetting thing is 1/2 hour before our ceremony we had guests setting tables. That is absolutely unacceptable. The manager and owner were not to be seen or heard from, and no effort was made to right their wrongs. Head the warning and avoid at all costs!

Provided by YP.comI know that they have been around for quite a few years, but the owners daughter has recently taken over. She has hired a new chef and wow is the food great. She is very nice and really cares for the customer. This is my new favorite restaurant.

Provided by SuperpagesThe food was great and the atmosphere was outstanding. Well worth a trip, I think MObil should have given them 3 stars, it is a great spot. I will return any time I am in the area
