The restaurant is founded on generations of traditional New Mexican cuisine from the former family restaurant located in the mountain town of Arroyo Seco in the northern mountains of Taos New Mexico.

Gil’s Taste of Taos recipes uses roasted New Mexico Hatch green & Chimayo red chilies.

Gil's Taste of Taos originally found their presence in Arizona as caterers; to events ranging from street fairs, city council meetings, weddings, private parties and Super Bowl 42.

As Gil's loyal catering clientele requested he cater to smaller groups of 1-10 people, Gil found the perfect spot to satisfy his clients’ cravings. Our restaurant is located on the southeast corner of Bell and 16th Street.

Come checkout the quaint Taos atmosphere located here in Phoenix. Enjoy a delicious meal on the misted outdoor patio listening to our relaxing fountain or inside to the strum of Spanish guitarist.

Specializing in flat enchiladas (with a egg if you choose), huevos rancheros (all day), tacos, grande burritos, Indian tacos, sopapillas, etc. All of our dishes are made from the freshest ingredients and prepared home-made with the same love and dedication that others have enjoyed for decades. Enjoy our chips & award winning red or green salsas while you savor the smells of your entree being made and emanating from our kitchen.
