An unbelievable tragedy by bohmhome - 07/09/2009
We took our Great Dane to Dr. Ghitea for several months for a disturbing cough/grunting sound that was making our puppy miserable. Each visit we were told "it's allergies" or” this is something that he will deal with for life” Dr. Ghitea took x-rays everywhere on his body (lungs, heart, stomach). When things got worse we were referred to a specialist. The morning of our visit to the specialist we woke up to find our 5 year old (young for a Great Dane) puppy barely breathing and unable to move. We immediately drove him to the specialist and I brought the x-rays from Dr. Ghitea's office. Within one minute of looking at these x-rays the specialist told us that our puppy had pneumonia and had been suffering for some time. Dr. Ghitea apparently cannot diagnose pneumonia from his own x-rays in his own office!! We will never visit Dr. Ghitea again, his negligence, ignorance, etc. resulted in the loss of our best friend.
