Don't Bother Calling These Chumps by cargram - 03/07/2008The previous rating was obviously written by an employee or someone associated with the company. Don't call them unless you want impersonal, incompetent service (or lack of service in my case). I placed a service call, and was told someone would come between "8 and 5" which of course left me in a position of having to take the entire day off work. After waiting and waiting, I called the 800 number to find out why no technician and learned they had cancelled my appointment without even notifying me. Don't waste your time... call someone else!
Fantastic Service! by BSasquatch - 02/19/2008G.E. Consumer Service is fantastic! These guys are the last factory service for appliances anywhere! Maytag.. forget it... Whirlpool... forget it... they're all gone. All the others are run by A&E/Sears service now owned by K-Mart. The techs at A&E and Sears are begging for jobs with GE because of the way they are being treated. Also, G.E. Factory Service technicians do NOT work on commission. They will do everything possible to keep repair prices down for you instead of the little guys (Appliance by Paul for instance) where the guys work commission. They may sound less expensive but that is a very deceiving ploy and they aren't even factory trained. ASI... same thing...
