I have been passing by Furniture Recycler in Forest Park for many years and decided to give them a call to see what they can do with my 1920's Ball & Claw 9 Piece Mahogany Dining Room Set that I picked up at a resale shop a number of years ago. I spoke with Greg the NEW owner of Furniture Recycler. I was quite pleased that he asked to come over to my home to evaluate my set rather than have me send pictures. Greg took his time to evaluate each piece and explain all of my options. I decided to hire Greg to completely disassemble, strip, repair, refinish each piece plus reupholster my 6 chairs and finish them off with new brass tacks. Greg invited me to his shop on 2 occasions to see the progression of his work. In addition to the wood repairs my set had a couple of missing locks and no key. He was able to find and replace the matching locks with matching key. Greg also gave me a referral to a local glass company for a custom glass buffet top plus a referral to a local company that makes custom table top pads. Yes, he also created the patterns for me well in advance of the set being delivered back to me. His attention to detail is amazing. If you are contemplating what to do with your tired old furniture I think you owe it to yourself to first give Greg a call.

Crook!

This man totally took advantage of me when I was very vulnerable after a fire. He knows nothing about fire restoration even tho he told me he did! He charged me $2,600.00 to strip and refinish an antique sideboard and singer sewing machine and make very minor repairs! Wanted to charge me $225.00 for an antique coffee grinder that at most is worth $100.00. All he did was strip and restain the pieces. The repairs he made only added to the depreciation to my valuable antiques! He never even cleaned the actual sewing machine and couldn't be bothered to even put it back in it's place when he was done let alone clean it! He left me to put the smokey, dirty thing back in myself. I would never trust him again! He only wanted my insurance money! My husband could have done what he did for the cost of sandpaper and stain!
