Not horrible not great by
I know that store caters to primarily the Hispanic community as evidenced when you go in that store I feel like I am in a different country and that I need to learn Spanish to get along. There is primarily Spanish music and anouncements on the intercom. If you got help in English, you were lucky and that is not the norm. However, Food city, Ranch, El Super is worse as you have to get a manager that Maybe speaks english. I dont go to mercado unless they have some spectacular sales which is rare even (then I price match at Wal-Mart). I think that if you work in this country you should be required to speak english. and play at least half the music and announcements in English

I went to Fry's Mercado yesterday and what you say is completely wrong. Everything is were it needs to be found. Employees do speak English and my shopping experience was good.
Good store. Great employees. Great customer service. As well as the check outs are quick. I didn't have no trouble what so ever the Front End managers do a very good job. everything is so clean. Better than Wal Mart.
This store is complete garbage. Almost no employees that walk around the store can even speak english. If I have trouble finding something I literally have to pass about 5 employees to find an english speaking one that can help me. Even all of the signs are primarily in spanish. The store is hardly ever stocked properly and to be honest, you're lucky if you can even find a cart or a basket. I would never go here if I didnt live next door. The only other grocery store in the area is food city which isnt even as bad.
