Worked for me
by Dave C. , 12/24/2012
I was hurt at work in early 2006 and on the way home from therapy in late 2006, I was in a head-on collision accident. Not a good year for me. Neither issue was my fault, but it involved multiple legal issues to untangle. I didnâÂÂt always like what I was told by Mr. Frederick and his staff, no one likes having a âÂÂreality checkâ cashed. But I always got honest answers to my questions, and I had a lot of questions. One of the things I learned was that good things come to those that wait. The âÂÂtacticsâ of insurance companies and their attorneys, in my opinion, is to postpone the proceedings for as long as possible to make memories fail and stories change, so they can confuse the issues, or even to see if litigants die, and then the policy doesnâÂÂt have to pay out⦠Also, the court system works as slow as molasses in January. Government workers get paid whether they work on your case or not. And donâÂÂt forget, sometimes people donâÂÂt tell the truth, so while all the waiting is going on, someone might be watching you to see if you are really hurt, or faking it for an easy payout. I donâÂÂt blame them for checking on these types of things, as my issues are legitimate, and backed up by doctors, but insurance companies are just that, companies. And as such, have to follow the procedures of their company, adding to the time it took to work through the issue. One of the most difficult things I had to do was pay my bills while I was hurt. Collection agencies donâÂÂt think that knee surgery, or cervical disc fusion is a good reason not to pay your bills. So, hurt, broke, pissed off at the legal system, and having someone tell you that âÂÂthese things take timeâÂÂ, and oh by the way, they will be watching you night and day to see if youâÂÂre faking or can take a picture of you doing something that can be taken out of context, is not exactly helpful for a cheerful life. But this is now 2012. Both of my legal issues have been settled. Six years and six months for the work issue and 4 years for the auto issue. My credit still has the marks on it, but is now noted with âÂÂpaid in fullâ on the delinquent bills and my wife and I are breathing a little easier right now. It is truly a unique feeling to not have any court issues hanging over my head, and it feels great. I donâÂÂt say this lightly, so understand, if you need an attorney, I really feel for you. But having Frederick & Hagle working for you would be the best thing you could do. Jeff Frederick has been a blessing to my wife and I, although, at various times in the last six years I have used profanity in my conversations with him. I used to mess with him that in an ocean of legal trouble, I was glad he was the shark on my side, and it paid off. So yeah, I understand when others are mad or upset or whatever, about legal issues, but do what your lawyer tells you, whether you like it or not, and all will work out in the end. Did for me.
