They are absolutely the nicest company I have had the pleasure of using. They are totally responsive, caring and wonderful about making sure we have propane all the time.

Friendly and careful, always helpful, go the extra mile.

We've been customers for 20 years. Fred's group has always been reliable and helpful. Jeff even helped us move a large rock that had fallen in our driveway. They come in all weather, and keep us filled up.

29 years of reliable service

Fred's has taken excellent care of me for 29 years. Jeff just restored my service after theflood, replaced parts and got propane going. I have always found them to be very reliableabout keeping the tank full and checking for safety issues. Angela at the office is alwaysfriendly and helpful.

TerribleService

We needed our propane filled since we didn't pay attention and it reached 0. I called their "emergency guy" Jeff. I asked him if he would provide the propane since it was an emergency. It sounded like they were having a good time in the background and responded with "we don't take care of other peoples problems". I would never call these people again!!!

Great Service in the mountains in emergencies - safety oriented company

I've used Fred's for 23 years in different locations in the mountains. Fred's has been there through subzero temperatures, snow and flooding . They've responded on a weekend when I've been low on fuel. They won't do an install without ensuring that every safety code is enforced. I switched one of my houses to another company, just to check out the competition, and Fred's was cooperative and on time when the tank switch occurred. I'm puzzled by the other reviewer's claim that there's a monopoly and that it's a hassle to change providers. I'm also puzzled by how a gas leak can occur with tank pressure at zero. How are reparations required when, according to the narrative, no damage occurred from the leak? Here's a thought: use dexknows, and find another provider. I'm delighted with Fred's Propane, and would recommend them to anyone.

NOT Reliable and DANGEROUS

Fred's service allowed our tank to go to empty (zero pressure) causing a gas leak inside the house. The Fire Department was engaged and was very surprised that the Propane Service allowed this very dangerous situation to occur.Fred's Propane has been disdainful in their response and did not offer any sort of reparation. They also insisted that the address is on a 'will call' schedule. This "will call" schedule has not been the case in over 15 years and is no excuse for allowing this situation to happen. The last fill up was in November and it is now March. If it weren't for the absolute hassle that the Propane companies cause to make a switch, these guys would have been 'dumped' last year when they ran over the driveway fence, taking out two posts and rails, and then argued about that as well. These guys feel very mighty with this somewhat monopoly situation and are NOT RECOMMENDED.
