Great service

by honda guy , 09/16/2013

Helped me get the part i needed for a great price, they even helped me pull it off, got it painted to match my car at there body shop and had one of there mechanics put it on, all for less money then just the part would have cost from the dealership. They have there inventory online so you can view it before you arrive, it was nothing like any other self service yard ive been to, much cleaner and more helpful, i normally dont do reviews but i was looking up there number to purchase another part and saw they had very few.

In recent review the said fender was purchased 6 months prior to phone conversation, simply explained that we could not warranty a part that old. We thrive to help all our customers especially the ones that are less knowledgeable, that is what we are here for. Unfortunately we were unable to return a fender that was purchased with no warranty to begin with at such at late date. We simply explained if the customer would have called sooner(within 10 days) we would have willingly exchanged the item even though there was no warranty. We sincerely apologize if this was taken out of context or disrespectful, it was simply policy which was clearly stated on the customers sales slip. We respect all of our customers and work to satisfy them to the best of our abilities.

Well... I would just like to let all females know that if you know nothing about cars, do not go to this place without someone who does. I bought a fender from there and kept it safe until I was ready to get it put on. Went to the collision shop, and was told that the part was not taken off of the old car, it was broken off, and is no good. Call Fred's Salvage, and was told too bad. "If you didn't get it within the last 10 days then we won't even look at it. You could have broken it yourself." The guy I spoke to talked to me like I was a crooked scam artist. I wouldn't break off a part of something I need and paid for just for the hell of it. I can see if I was asking for my money back. It's okay though. I'm out of money, but I've learned my lesson. I've bought used parts before when I was younger in Detroit, MI and was never cheated out of money or given a defective part. I didn't think people did that.
