The staff is friendly and respectful, but of course people who have been coming there for 48 years (like me) will be greeted by name, and everyone (including old friends) must wait in line when things are busy. The prices are fair (and there are some bargains!), their stock is the best in the area, and they buy gold, silver and many other things at the highest prices in the area, because they have the biggest customer base and need new material all the time. I strongly advise going to Coops any time you get a chance.

I want to take issue with the reviewer who said (in 2008) that they were pricey. I have been shopping there, and at various other coin and stamp shops, for about 48 years. Their prices are fair, and plenty of bargains can be found. They do have some expensive stuff, that naturally has high prices, but they also have ten-cent foreign coins in a box, and 2-cent stamps, and everything up from there. Whatever your budget, you will find something for your collection at Coops. I always have!

Unfriendly staff, almost worth it to pay extra and buy online.
