Very satisfied with the care I have received at Canyon Rd.
by Steve Mac , 10/29/2014
I have been going to Canyon Rd. for three years and have been very satisfied with the care and treatment I have received. From my diabetes, vascular trouble, to some tumor removal, the Doctors and staff have met my needs or made sure I was sent to where they would be met. I am healthier than I was three years ago thanks to their help. When I needed help with alternate billing they were very willing to help me.
Worst Clinic we've ever been to!
by Disappointed , 10/07/2014
The most inept medical staff we have ever dealt with! Don't trust your family with these people. They are unprofessional and lazy. We had a cancer scare and weren't even told about it for 3 months! Had no idea that anything was even wrong! Took them that long to tell us about a red flag on some earlier testing and to order further testing....this was for someone with a history of cancer too! That is negligence as far as I'm concerned. It was always a fight dealing with this office for things that should have been routine. The ladies at the front desk are the only people we dealt with that had it together. I wish I could give them negative stars.

Worst clinic I've ever been too!!! That's not a good star, that's a negative as in the worst star! Find a different clinic!

Walked into the urgent care clinic and was greeted promptly. Saw one of the Drs. and was really impressed by how much he truly cared about me. Because of my fall that I had taken, he suggested I be seen at the E.R. He made sure that we knew since he couldn't do anything for me there was NO CHARGE for our visit ! Now I am trying to have them as my primary care clinic !
VERY Inconsistent "treatment"- good and bad practitioners- Of course you are billed regardless

I had a good experience at Prompt Care and recommended my Fiance visit there when he caught my bug. We don't have general practitioners, because we literally never get sick. So for one, nevermind both of us, to be sick enough to visit a doctor for treatment shows how poorly we were feeling. As neither of us has a GP, I also suggested to my fiance we find one at this location. Unfortunately after his experience there, and my subsequent communication with them, I would not recommend going here if you are sick and want treatment. While I WAS treated, my finace , who has the exact same cold/flu, was told to contact the office in TWO WEEKS if he still felt ill, and told that they "don't like to just go around giving out antibiotics". This despite the fact that the antibiotics I was prescribed two days earlier literally helped me feel better the next day. So it seems, it's hit or miss here, you have a 50/50 chance of getting solid treatment. So much for that expensive ins. we pay for.

The care I have received at the Canyon Road clinic is exceptional. My doctor is compassionate, spends the time to listen and inform, and the staff are very responsive in answering my questions, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns. I had a recent challenging medical situation and could not have asked for better care. It is novel having a doctor phone me at home to share test results and develop a plan for medical next steps. This is a well-managed clinic with excellent practioners.

I've never had any real problems personally however I myself am a Medical Assistant and I am an older woman who worked very hard in school all the while many of the young people were cheating and copying from each other all the way through school...one year! These are the people that are working at these locations, when someone such as myself who is knowledgeable and experienced in life in general, not to mention a TRUE compassion for people, I'd heard young people in my class numerous times talking so cold, showed no compassion toward others. Not to mention, the last time I was in one of their offices (Franciscan) I took notice the girl behind the desk was typing with one hand...when I have been typing over 70 WPM when she would have still been drinking from a bottle. Yet, myself nor three other of my older fellow students haven't ever gotten work and all these young girls that cheated their way through have been working for up to 20 an hour. I think it's pathetic!!
Watch out for medical coding errors
by Theo , 06/21/2010
I went in for a 100% covered preventive office visit (annul physical) and mentioned that I would need cholesterol medication. My blood was taken and a prescription was written and the next thing I know I am receiving bills for my visit because someone changed the code on my visit to a “getting acquainted with your doctor visit” (to use their terms.) After trying to work with Franciscan they have decided I will have to pay the bill or it will go to collections. I will not be returning to another Franciscan establishment because if they are messing up on simple medical billing where else are they making errors.
