The Only Place I Go For Repairs
by 1984gman , 07/14/2012
Had purchased an old (1910) vintage Conn New Invention cornet from an estate sale. I wasn't sure it would be able to be restored to playing condition as it had a lot of corrosion on the tuning slides and was severely tarnished. Long story short the experts at Flesher-Hinton restored and cleaned it to what looks almost like new condition. (They even replaced a missing handle on the case and added cork back to the vintage mute in the case, which was such a great touch). I've got to hand it to these guys, they are courteous, knowledgeable, and highly skilled craftsmen. I've had other horns into their shop (from modern trumpets to vintage instruments like the one noted above), and they have always done a great job repairing them in short order and at reasonable prices.I am a member of several local bands (community band, brass band, jazz band), and am a Phi Mu Alpha alumni. I no longer go anywhere else to have my instruments serviced. I still highly recommend Flesher-Hinton to anyone in the Colorado and surrounding states who needs their instruments serviced, repaired, or restored.
BEST STORE EVER

I love going into FH these guys seem to know everything. I've been renting an instrument for a year now and my kid loves to play. They make it easy for me to pay online for my rental and the guy who comes out to our school is very helpful. Best store in the state!

Once again I had a horrible experience trying to get my trumpet repaired and FH. I stood in line while the service agent shot the breeze with his friend. They seemed annoyed that I was there interupting there "quality time". When they finally decided to ask me what I wanted the service agent told me that it would be 6 weeks before they could clean my trumpet. I asked if they could do it sooner for pro players that needed there instruments for work. He smuggly replied, "no". If you are a professional player FH is not the place for you. I will never go there, or recommend them again.

So sorry to see a lack of service like the "old" days. Maybe the owner is just getting tired?
You'll "note" the difference!

Great prices and friendly employees who happily sponsor local student events. A great source for all musical needs.
Put one of these in Parker!

With three kids and 9 instruments, we have come to depend on Flesher Hinton for EVERYTHING music related. Repairs, new cases, sheet musice and gifts - whatever we need, they have. And we appreciate the support they give to the school music programs.
A wonderful store

The products and services are really first rate. I love supporting a local business instead of a "chain" music store. I miss the satellite store in Aurora
