This vet is too busy to help pets in need, have tried several times to get our dog in and they are booked out two weeks at least. Went to another vet that for us on same day. They are very rude and should just say they can't accept new patients at this time. Now we have to transfer all our records for our dog elsewhere because they don't have time for us, even though our dog needed more urgent care than two weeks away!

Took Lucy in, for the first time, yesterday. Thought her breath indicated a need for a teeth cleaning. Vet said it isn't necessary yet, wait 6 months. Breath? He didn't think there was any indication of anything wrong. Absolutely no charge! Walked out feeling like I found a new vet that I can trust. Am breathing a sigh of relief as because of prior experiences, was very hesitant about going to another clinic. Thank you so much for your honesty!

This is my vet if choice high price or not. My dog is family and I will pay or do whatever to make her comfortable. Dr. Barber is awesome he listens and always makes me feel like my animals health is his only concern and not to mention he always suggests cheaper natural substitutes for her care. My frenchie is a special needs girl and I feel like they always treat her with kindness and me with respect.

I'm sure they are great if you have wads of money to throw away. I never went there before but I won't again and will recommend others against it unless they do the right thing here. I found a cat, hit by a car after I dropped my daughter off at school. I rushed him, still alive, to the nearest vet I could find. I rushed in, thinking they'd jump out of their seats to help. I had to spend five minutes to convince them to even look at him. They took him. I was late getting my other daughter to school and left my info. They wanted to know how I was paying?! Not my cat, late, trying to do a good thing, $1.09 in checking...I'm sorry I thought you could take injured animals who were hit by a careless driver and left to any vet for compassionate treatment. They eventually took him. I left my info and called to check on him later. They said he was fine. Was I picking him up or did they need to call someone. I really, really wanted to get him. Unless they were willing to treat him for $1.09 and bad credit and release him , it was a roadblock. Another roadblock, is living with a strict dad after divorce who doesn't see animals like I do. Roadblock c was my 14 year old cat that is very sick herself and roadblock d were my two kids under six that I'm struggling without child support to pay for. I did rescue for years before kids but you can't sign on for that task if you have no realistic means to do so. Anyway, they kept him. I trusted he was alive and well. Not micro chipped. I called a few days later cause I needed more info for found ads I was trying to place to alert his owners. They said, I signed him over. They would not tell me if they sent him to a city shelter, humane society etc. I get privacy policies. I didn't need to know injury details and bill costs, I wanted them to tell me which PUBLIC facility they sent him to in case I found the owner. Nothing but blunt, rude responses. Well, I did find the owner. She's going Tom with a picture. She had bottle fed him after his mom rejected him. She just got a new dog, her indoor cat freaked and ran only to be hit by a car, in a school zone, at school start time, by a driver who should have been watching the road for kids let alone cats and left to die. Now, they won't tell her where her cat is. They also told me not to mention their name in any ad or refer ppl there for questions. I did for her but I said, don't call cause their cold. Walk in with a picture, and demand an office manager. They may treat high paying clients well, but their code of ethics is far skewed. The other coupled that stopped that day recommended All Creatures Vet by the Graham Wal-Mart. They had arrived to help first but had a baby in the car so I offered to find him help. I didn't know where the other place was but knew with traffic that Wal mart was a good 15 min drive or more with traffic,. I mistakenly took him to the first vet I could find. A decision that may have cost him his life. It feels sketchy. I honestly think they took the inability for unrelated helpers to pay as a sign to flat out euthanize. Why else would they either A) say he didn't make it or B) say don't mention us in any ad and have no one call us. The owner sent me a pic. She lives a block away from the accident and he darted the night before from her new dog and slipped out an accidentally cracked door. I saw pictures of him sleeping in a cozy blanket. It's him. If this vet doesn't tell her where it is, I will never stop telling this story to every pet owner I meet in puyallup.

Great clinic and amazing doctors!

BParham you do realize that giving a veterinary hospital (not an emergency vet clinic) 1 star for being to busy to see a walk in appointment is misinformed, unintelligent and spiteful right? Would you expect to walk in to a dentist, orthopedic or optometrists office and be seen right away because you had an emergency? No, I'm guessing you'd probably go to an emergency room. As it is, Firgrove is not an emergency clinic, although they will accept emergencies and walk-ins whenever they are able to do so. The veterinarians at Firgrove are great and very knowledgeable! On a few occasions I've brought my dogs there for an emergency and they have gotten them in as soon as they could and taken great care of them.

Best vet clinic EVER!

I have been bringing my pets to Firgrove for several years. My first visit was an emergency and they took such good care of me. I had recently had a baby and brought in our cat who had been severely injured. They were incredibly responsive, caring, empathetic and genuine. Every single person there was helpful. Our bill was shockingly lower than I thought it would be (especially for an emergency!). We became lifers. Our 2 dogs are treated there and the doctors are warm. The clinic is big enough to have resources while still small enough to have a heart. We see Dr Barber and he always remembers our pet's names and issues. The staff knows who we are. We recently moved to Federal Way and though it is a long trek out there with our critters, we would never ever switch animal hospitals!

Terrible Place

Our miniature poodle could not stand up and kept falling over to her right side. We rushed her to this vets office, filled out the paperwork, and they told us to have a seat. They came out and said we don't have a doctor that can see you. The other doctor just went into surgery with the other doctor. I hope I never go to the emergency room and they tell me there is no doctor to help me. We decided to leave and on the way out a customer there said that since one of the vets left a while back the service here as gone down hill and that they really don't like the pets or take good care of them. We went down the road and the vet took our dog right in and she is fine now. I will never go back to this place nor will I ever recommend them.

They were so kind to us. My parents took our cat Ashley in today to get euthenized she had cancer. Not only were they kind and gentle with my parents they were also to my cat and not just while she was alive. While she was passing and before they talked softly to Ashley and massaged her, I know she loved it. And even after they passed they continued to massage her a bit and wrapped her up nicely in the blanket she had been sitting on leaving only her head exposed. My parents were allowed to pay while in the room and shown the back way out so they could grieve in privacy. They were amazed by the caring this staff showed. They were also very caring and generous during our previous visits with Ashley. The commitment of this staff is exceptional. Thank you for being so amazing.

A amazing place

I can't speak highly enough about this place! We first came across them when our poor golden retriever got loose and was struck by a car and left for dead. I was so devastated. Needless to say it was a Sunday when we found him and I called Firgrove and they were open! They were so sympatheic and gentle with our feelings and what we were going through (me bawling but the girl still uinderstood everything i was saying even without me saying it). We brought Comet down to have him cremated and the following week, unexpectedly, we received a card from them with their deepest apologies for our loss. It was the most thoughtful gesture. We had some bad experiences with Value Pet clinic and decided we would start bringing our animals (Lab mix, chihuahua and 2 cats) here. What a blessing they have been! There was a period of 2 months where our Lab and larger cat had been in serious cases and were in and out of the vet for 2 months straight and they cared for them as if they were their own pets. No doubt in my mind about the care, love and determination these guys have there. Again, I can't say enough good things about this place and if you want a place where they are personal and know what they are doing, Firgove is the place!

Best ever, saved my dog and puppies

My dogs puppies were stuck and the first one was born dead. I rushed to the hospital and they took me in right fast. The staff was quick to respond and very helpful and friendly. They started her on drugs IV and two more puppies were born alive but then the birthings slowed down and we had to have a c-section. Six more puppies were born alive with the c-section. Firgrove knew what they were doing and did it a timely fashion to be able to save eight of the nine puppies. Firgrove is awesome and I will go no where else.

Awful Customer Service and Deceptive Pricing

Do not choose Firgrove! I should have trusted my instincts and taken my cat elsewhere after the terrible first impression. Upon calling to schedule an appointment, I was told by the receptionist to walk in with my kitty to have her mouth examined before a cleaning. The receptionist who was running the front didn’t bother to acknowledge me for several minutes as she stared at the computer. Once I told her why I had come with no appointment, she rather boldly and rudely implied that I was lying about being told to walk-in. She eventually had a nice-enough woman look at my cat’s teeth in the lobby (not an examination room). I was given the estimate that her cleaning and extraction would cost $200-400. I brought her back for the actual appointment and the two women who were working the desk (one from the walk-in fiasco) were rude, condescending, and disrespectful. I filled out the forms which enumerated charges which were a pa

GREAT PEOPLE

They were very nice to me! I had to go in on an emegency for my dog and they were very understanding when I was crying. I told them I had just lost my job and they were willing to help me figure out a way to pay for the services. Most vets just say good luck chuck! I wish all vets had these kinds of hearts! They are now my main vet! They may cost a little more but it is worth it! They always go the extra mile!

Very Good Vet

I took my kitty Mouse to the Firgrove Vet because of vomiting. Found out she was diabetic right away and they knew what to do. The bill was ok also and now Mouse is better. I'm very thankful.Tita

Great Service and Great value.

Fixed my dogs broken leg for a fare price and took very good care of him. Seemed genuine and concerned about his pain and recovery. He recovered 100 and is very happy now. Good place to go.
